We have a standing freezer that a few times our kids did not completely close the door and caused the food to defrost. This helps us see the temperature at a glance and take actions when the temps go above a set point before all our food melts. We have ours set at 20F and it works great.

Work great and gives me peace of mind

Ran the sensor down from he bar counter in through the top of the Kegerater. It seems to be working well, showing the slight range of temperatures as the fridge turns on and off. I like that the battery has a projected life of 1 Year.

I got this to use on my baseboard heating system to warn when one branch approaches freezing in a bedroom we leave the window open in at night here in New England. I set the upper limit as high as it would go but when the heat turned on it still exceeded the limit and beeped. I set the high limit lower than the low limit and the beeping stopped, but now the low limit may not work. I will retest and wait for answers before updating my review.

It works very well. The tempertaure reading was tested against a different probe and it was only off by one degree. That's an acceptable standard deviation in my book. Great for chest freezers near your living space so you don't wake up to a nasty surprise as we did when one of our fridges stopped working. Thankfully we didn't lose and appreciable amount of food.

WARNING WARNING WARNING - Bought two 10 months ago. Power failed to my freezer for 3 days. Device never went off. Sensor was in bottom of the freezer, programmed correctly, tested before use. EVERYTHING in my freezer melted. Sensor SAT IN WARM WATER AND DID NOT GO OFF. Also, if it did work, the programming is RIDICULOUSLY DIFFICULT.

Put these by my temperature sensitive medication. I didn't recognize it at first but it did draw my attention. The sound range was good, I have i would say I was 25 feet away. I was able to hear it in another room.

We have a huge standing freezer in our garage, full of all sorts of things. Meats, vegetables, dinners, raw dog food, etc. We had no idea that something was wrong in there before everything had defrosted and warmed to unsafe temps. I had to throw everything out and it made me sick to my stomach to know how much money I had just lost. This little thing could have prevented all of it!

Cheap but it's still better quality than the original it's replacing. Came with instructions. Works well. Used for the turbo 500 still. Reads accurately.

Tut ganz gut als Thermometer für den Tiefkühlschrank. Das Kabel ist etwas dicker/steifer als erwartet, geht aber noch. Habe die Anleitung verlegt und lange gesucht, wie man den Alarm einstellt. Für alle anderen, denen es auch so geht: Den Alarm-Knopf 🔔 2 Sekunden gedrückt halten. Im Display blinken HIGH und OUT. Den C/F-Knopf auf der Rückseite drücken, um das obere Limit einzustellen. (Oder C/F gedrückt halten für Schnelldurchlauf) Den Alarm-Knopf 🔔 noch einmal drücken. Im Display blinken LOW und OUT. Den C/F-Knopf drücken, um das untere Limit einzustellen. Den Alarm-Knopf 🔔 nochmals drücken, um die Einstellung zu beenden. Wird das Limit überschritten, piepst der Alarm einige Male (vielleicht insgesamt 5 Sekunden?) und ist dann erst mal stumm. In Abständen von gut einer Minute wiederholt sich das piepsen.

Seems to work really well. Much better than the cheaper 'single function' thermometers. Useful min and max function.
