The TV was not delivered on its original date, but made the revised date.
I'm super happy with the TV. Easy setup and nice picture. They missed the original delivery date, but I wasn't in a rush. The delivery guys were professional and compentent. I would order another large tv thru Amazon again.

Yes, it shipped quickly and delivery was a charm.
Do you really need me to write anything about this ? Heck, you will have read all the reviews of this TV and know all about it. So, to the things you probably want to know: did it arrive quickly, intact, etc. Yes, this arrived really quickly. A couple of beefy guys in their big truck showed up on time and were very courteous. Carried it gently into my garage and left it just where I wanted it. They offered to unpack it, but I wasn't ready for that. It was in perfect condition. I unpacked it myself (instructions are actually printed on the package, just follow them). I mounted it on the wall using the same wall mount I already had there from the old TV. Worked out great. Packaging was cut down easily to get into a combination of garbage for the polystyrene, and recycle for the cardboard (but the dog decided she liked laying on the cardboard, must have been comfy, it was thick enough. So that stuck around for a while.)

It’s a beautiful picture
The screen and picture are absolutely beautiful. The color too. The tv is worth the price. It did not come with the usual protection around it in box and had an issue with the live tv not working. Got it fixed with Sony. I love the picture

SONY TV, Google Operating system is garbage
The picture quality was AWESOME. The google operating system is crap. Sound intermittently drops out, when using Netflix or other apps. The Cable set top box control was completely random and intermittent. Google is used for all,of the control of this TV, EVERYTHING, picture adjustments, sound everything. Add in that you have to agree to at least 5 privacy releases for google to collect and sell your data.I spent 30 years as an equipment start up application engineer, I don’t give up on making systems work properly. If you look into forums you will see the sound drop out is a widespread problem. I am VERY disappointed that Sony made the decision to use google for the total operating system of this TV. If it had the option to just operate as a dumb monitor I would have been happy with that, I can easily control apps via a fire stick. I retuned this TV and purchases an LG C4 series. The second issue was the return of the TV, we purchased the premium delivery that included unboxing and hauling away the box. Without a box the return was an absolute nightmare. There is a HUGE DISCONNECT when trying to deal with Amazon heavy package services. I spent HOURS on the phone and chat trying to get the TV returned since we didn’t have a box. After all of that when they did pick it up, they set the BARE TV on an aluminum hand dolly and literally BOUNCED it across the driveway to the road. I’m sure it was unsellable when they received it at warehouse.

Awesome TV made unusable by Google
I don’t know what I was thinking. It makes no difference that I can see the Sony picture is beautiful when it takes literally hours upon hours to set it up and it is a fight every single step of the way. Google is the worst tv interface on .. was going to say the planet, but let’s go with Universe. I will likely be sending a gorgeous tv back because it is impossible to setup. Shame on Sony for being lazy and not developing something with the quality their hardware has. I own an LG and a Samsung tv in other parts of the house and they were both a breeze to setup.Update: changed from 1 star to 4. I persevered in the fight with Google TV and finally got it fully configured. I stand by everything I initially said about the setup process, but want to now give a review of the Bravia 8, especially as it compares to my Samsung and LG tv’s. There is absolutely no comparison when it comes to picture quality. Especially regarding color accuracy and overall depth. The Sony is king by a huge margin. I run the Sony in professional mode and it is stunning. There is almost an extra sharpness brought about by such an accurate picture. We watch allot of Prime video content and the curated video settings are amazing. Anything other than the vivid setting on the Samsung or LG is washed out and disappointing. Now that it is setup it is easy to use and I recommend it. The Bravia app for my phone is the best app remote control I have ever used. In fact I rarely reach for the tv remote and just use my phone.

Nice tv great picture.I don’t see any issue with the Google interface. Not that much into tech maybe that’s why.

Great quality 4K TV.
Have had this TV for about 6 months now and I can honestly say it was worth the buy.Had to upgrade since my 15 yr old plasma said I QUIT.Hopefully this will last just as long as it did.The picture quality is amazing. The screen being the speaker is a major upgrade from the traditional downward firing speakers(no echo). The Bravia 8 is a worthwhile purchase.
