Powerful and long lasting battery!
I've had blenders before but this one works really well! I was going to buy a second one just to have on hand but I couldn't justify it. I use it every day, multiple times a day (blending up chicken food/pellets for chicks) and have recharged it only twice. The charge lasts forever! The power doesn't decrease either. Very strong all the way and then it will stop working if the battery is low. It's a perfect size for an individual serving shake. I can't believe how great this is for the cost, great buy! No problems cleaning either. As soon as I can come up with a reason for another one, I will be buying again.

This is my 2nd Blendjet , interesting color
Honestly, I'm no stranger to Blendjets. There are now 4 of them in my household and I have been using Blendjet 2 for a few years now. These high-powered portable blenders last a long time and are shockingly durable for their price. The designs and customizations are unmatched in the portable blender market. You're not going to find a Lisa Frank, Nickelodeon or Disney portable blender with this much class and sophistication that isn't a Blendjet. This second Blendjet 2 was purchased because I needed to replace my first Blendjet 2 which had gotten a bit busted (it was my own fault, nothing to do with the company) and this one was on sale on Amazon. I got the lavender color. It's more of a cool lavender in person, like a pastel indigo, with a powder finish. I'd describe the color as true lavender, like the flower-- bluish rather than pinkish purple. The Blendjet is the most powerful wireless, handheld blender I have ever used. The old one I used to use wasn't nearly as fast, strong or long-lasting as the Blendjet (2).I use mine to make smoothies, shakes, protein drinks, slushies, creams, sauces, flours, meals, dressings, vegan mayo & ricotta "cheese", "nice cream", batter and dips. There isn't really a limit to what you can do with it. After dental surgery, my Blendjet was essential for preparing my liquefied meals. I blended solid foods with some oatmilk and seasonings and ended up with delicious, satisfying, creamy soups! It's a kitchen essential because it gets the job done whilst being quiet (you can use it in the morning without waking up your roommates), fast, and super easy to clean! No more struggling with big clunky, awkward parts as with a typical blender. Plus the small size makes it more convenient to carry around the house, on the go or whatnot. Here are a few tips from a seasoned Blendjet user, inspired by some complaints I've been seeing in the reviews:1. Make sure there is at least some air between the top of the contents and the lid otherwise it's going to be too full and struggle to blend.2. If making a thick smoothie, use enough liquid (a 3:2 ratio liquid to solid) is usually okay, but keep in mind the blades are much smaller than those of a normal sized blender! Always ALWAYS put the liquid in first and add hard-frozen items gradually between blend sequences.3. When making a flour/powder from oats, nuts or rice, blending on pulse mode will yield the best results, and don't put too much in at one time or you're just going to waste the battery.4. Don't leave your Blendjet with liquid in it soaking for more than a week. I do not recommend letting it sit for over 2 weeks without the soapy or vinegar water being changed.5. The ones with iridescent jars have a coating on them that will eventually peel off (the outside, thankfully). I've never seen flaking, chipping or peeling on the bases or lids. Just the iridescent jars.6. Remove the charger after the LED circle becomes fully blue and avoid using cellphone chargers with it as much as you can (even if it won't ruin your Blendjet to use cellphone chargers, the risk is there. Devices these days have all sorts of batteries and not all wires are created equally).7. Avoid using hot liquids in your Blendjet. Warm and lukewarm are fine. If making soup, transfer the room temperature mixture into a pot or bowl to be heated up separately.8. Buy the 32oz jar if you plan on making large smoothies or shakes with a lot of frozen chunks going into it. Cut frozen fruit into smaller chunks for a smoother blend without stops and stutters. Large chunks of frozen pineapple tends to get stuck in the blades and cause stops.Free recipes:Fake Grimace Shake (Vegan Style)8oz oat milk2 handfuls of blueberries1 tbsp maple syrup1/2 frozen semi-ripe banana, sliced3 frozen strawberries2 frozen cherries1 drop of vanillaFlavorful Nacho Bean Soup (for after dental surgery)8oz of oat milk1/2 can of habichuelas or Pinto beansSmoked paprika, salt to taste, taco seasoningA few Tortilla chips (trust me!)Shredded cheese (Violife or Daiya Mexican style blend)A small piece of cilantroOptional (cooked quinoa, blended VERY well)

Charging port failed
Disappointed - purchased this in March. Worked great for a while. Then charging port began having issues. As of this morning, the item will not charge whatsoever. I've tried four different usb cables and different outlets. No way to contact the company for a refund either.

It’s fun and addictive, you’ll be blending everything
I love this blend jet!! I’m making fresh orange juice every day! I’m not sure why they had to make it rechargeable by USB. I had to set up a place in the kitchen for recharging. But it’s worth it. I received the Blend Jet as a Christmas gift and it didn’t work. I was SOOOOO disappointed. But I replaced it and have not regretted it. I just threw the unit itself away and now I have a spare jar. There are duds and/or lemons that somehow get by. But I love it!! That doesn’t stop me from recommending this to my family/friends. I did buy an extended warranty just in case. Get one if you’ve been considering it. You won’t be disappointed

Great little blender
As long as you don’t overfill, it works great. I just wish the battery lasted a little longer.

Easy to use
I bought this because I had to have 15 teeth pulled at once in oral surgery. I wanted something that could help me grind up small amounts at a time so that things I like to eat would be easier to swallow. This did the trick! Great gift for someone who has to go on an all soft-foods diet for a while and can't chew anything for between 6-8 weeks.

Perfect for small jobs
Love it! It's perfect for small blending jobs.As an aside, although the blades are very small, it is not allowed in carry on bags. A knife with a larger blade is allowed but blenders aren't.

Fussy Blender
Bought this for my wife for Christmas (her choice), mainly for making smoothies. On the simplest smoothies (milk, fresh fruit, yogurt), it’s fine. It also works great for salad dressings. However, any of the bulkier smoothies (using recipes from Blendjet’s site) bogs it down. Fully charged, doesn’t matter. Starting it upside down, doesn’t matter. Giving it a little shake to get things going, doesn’t matter. Either the contents never make it down to the blades, or when they do, the blades lock. Also, the recipes are way off. I just made their PB&J smoothie and cut the milk back by 2oz, cut back the fruit similarly, and it still overfills the blender jar (which is part of the root of the problem) - I’ve had this happen with other of their recipes, so now I’ve taken to making half the recipe, emptying the blender, then making the other half. Very time consuming. Some of the recipes…the video doesn’t match accompanying ingredients list (Orange Mocha Frappe, for instance).Lastly, the self-cleaning bit is misleading. Again, simple smoothies, it works. Smoothies with anything sticky, like honey or peanut butter, expect to hand-wash it. Same for anything with oil in it - the cold water and detergent won’t clean that; you’ll need hot water and a hand-wash for that. We’ll keep it, but it’s rather a letdown, as it requires quite a bit more work than the demos show.
