Perfect for ordinary internet browsing and basic tasks
This is the 2nd wireless track ball mouse I bought. The first was about the same price, but the trackball itself felt scratchy as you rolled it. Total deal breaker. This one is nice and smooth. No problems at all with connecting l. Though I've only used the USB method. The battery life seems to be fine. I only have to charge it every few days. I've started to just plug it in for a while when I'm not using it and it's never died on me.Everything else works as it should. It would be nice to have more options for the led pattern, but it's fine. The only thing that is slightly annoying is that the button to cycle through the 3 connection modes is right behind the scroll wheel and is easy to mistakenly press, but you just have to press it 2 more times and it's back to the original selection.

Very nice trackball - and it's wired!!
These days, bluetooth connection has become a norm. I personally prefer USB-A connections for keyboards and mice. This product comes from Japan, so the package is full of Japanese. It doesn't matter because it's a mouse eventually. The size of this mouse is not too large, not too small. If you have 8-inch large hands, maybe this is not large enough for you.Their bearing seems very durable and sturdy. I love it. It does have some descrete motional friction that you won't feel when you use Logitech M575 or higher. If you want extrasmooth trackballing, Logitech or ELECOM EX-G should be your choice. Wired connection was deep impact to my decision process so I don't mind that much.

Best Trackball I have used
I have been using trackballs for 20+ years. This is the best one I have used. And it is a better price than the LogiTech I have used. I just received it today. It will take a little getting used to, as the ball moves so much more freely than the old ones. The on/off switch on the top is another plus, as I made a platform on the arm of my chair and stuck it to the platform with nano tape.

A Starter Trackball
Elecom makes some really great trackballs, and this is what I feel is from their entry-level department. It has a single “comfort” angle in place along with an easy to remove mouse ball. It supports a dongle (storable in the mouse yes!) and works fine. It uses double AA for battery power. Has a slightly larger mouse ball which is supposed to make it easier to move across screens (completely baseless claim) but may help larger hands. Here are the problems: no secondary set of side buttons, no way to switch DPI settings, swappable bearings that aren’t included, no left/right tilt on the scroll wheel, a rubberized and sluggish scroll wheel that is non-responsive sporadically in web pages, slightly larger 36mm mouse ball which means it’s not compatible with anything else out there, and not good at all for small movements because it jumps too much. This is a my-first-trackball situation, and unless it is really on sale I don’t see you using this for very long.

Thumb ball works great
I've always had trackballs I controlled with my index and middle fingers so I wasn't sure a trackball I was wondering if I'd like a trackball I control with my thumb. It works well and I'm very satisfied so far. And I do like clicking the right and left buttons as you would for a normal mouse, as well as the scroll wheel. I have no complaints.

Good but…
As someone who has carpal tunnel badly in his hands, I looked for years to find different kinds of mousing solutions to help me keep my hands vertical. I had hoped that using this kind of a trackball solution might allow me to keep my hands still, and only use my thumb. And indeed, this does work like that. Quality of manufacturing is good, and it was very easy to pair with Bluetooth five to my windows 11 laptop. The issue I’m having is that even with the lowest setting on the DPI resolution, the cursor is very touchy to even the slightest movements of the trackball. I find myself having to turn my hand and use my index in middle fingers in addition to thumb to get exactly where I want it. I use the settings in windows to slow down, but it still is very touchy. I’m not sure if that’s an issue or the sensitivity of the device. I’m not sure if that’s an issue or with the sensitivity of the device. That’s why I’m giving it four stars…. There is no outward error or problems with the device or manufacturer, but it just doesn’t work exactly the way I wanted it to.

Awesome rollers
I have used many many thumb ball mice. Some feel better than other with my big hands but I've never seen one with this kind of roller system. The ball on this mouse moves so incredibly smooth. Time will tell how it holds up.

Look further for a better mouse. Seriously!
Don't Buy.. useless piece of overengineered but utterly pointless paperweight!

Trackball function is 5 stars, 3 stars for the rest - too small, not enough buttons
Pros:-wired-replaceable bearings-rolls fantasticCons:-not enough buttons-too smallDue to the small size I felt strain in my hand, ended up going back to my wired Microsoft Trackball Optical which supports the whole hand with its longer case, much more ergonomic to use for anything over 15 minutes. I need more buttons that I can program to ENTER and SHIFT+ R_CLICK, something that I just can't do without. However, I would not hesitate to buy the next version if these features are added because the trackball part is excellent.
