Used as part of new garage ceiling system - nice look, easy install
As title states, I used my Toemics Ceiling Tile, 12 Pack Drop Ceiling 2ft x 2ft PVC Ceiling Panel Cover 5mm Waterproof Washable Tiles on a garage ceiling re-do, with really good success.Did something of a modified drop ceiling with available materials and it worked nearly as well as with a proper drop ceiling grid. These ceiling tiles held up beautifully to the summer heat without complaint, and have survived several cleanings as well, since a lot goes on in there, work-wise.So far so good, and easy to do cut-outs around lighting installs.Happy!

Not Impressed!!
If I wasn’t so far along in the project I would return these. The finish marks up very easily. Chalky finish. Not as black as pictured. Doesn’t clean easily. Very frustrating that it’s so hard to find a decent black tile, this is my 2nd attempt.

Believe the bad reviews
I would not recommend these tiles. They do not fit a 2x2 ceiling grid system so every single tile would need to be cut. They are well packaged and covered in plastic but somehow we're still marked up with white spots. They also are very flimsy and have the stability of a piece of cardboard. Look elsewhere.

Simple installation, durable materials, cool aesthetic
Simple installation, durable materials, cool aesthetic:This product is a very easy way to reduce sound from upstairs and add some peace of mind thanks to the fire rated materials. The product doesn't involve any adhesive or screws and fits perfectly with the 15/16" grid system, as advertised, making installation very quick. The product is decently heavy and made with solid materials, suggesting they'll last quite a while without breaking down or needing frequent replacement. The darker colors are also very simple and versatile in terms of their aesthetic appeal (very neutral) but the darker coloring is best paired with a similar wall coloring, but does work / clash well with white walls as well.Overall, this is a good product and I would recommend.

Spots spots spots
Contractor hung these and all have some sort of markings on them that cannot be wiped off. Also they are true to size of 24 x 24 which does not fit in standard grid. Each one needs to be cut .25 on 2 sides. Like the thought of these but disappointed. Contractor hung and cut, would they take them back?

Very nice drop-ceiling panels
I've used Toemics drop-ceiling panels before, and they were some of the best drop-ceiling tiles of this type, within this price range, that I've tried, so I was expecting the same level of quality with this new set -- and I was not disappointed. This style of panel, in general, is not the greatest when it comes to sound-proofing -- it sound-proofs better than some even thinner and cheaper options, but it's not on the level of thicker acoustic sound-proofing panels -- so if cutting down on sounds is important to you, you might want to explore more robust acoustic drop-ceilign tiles, or possibly just supplementing these tiles with some additional sound-proofing material stacked on top of them... However, the big upside of this style of panel is that it's relatively lightweight and very easy to cut and resize -- making it relatively easy to install a new drop-ceiling or to replace old tiles in an existing drop-ceiling, and to move them around and clean them later if needed, etc.In terms of cleaning -- they wipe down very easily (being a smooth, water-resistant material), and they don't make a dusty mess like some old-school fiber-based drop-ceiling tiles. And although they're thin -- as I noted earlier, they're not as super-thin as plastic and PVC panels from some other brands, and even the extra millimeter or two that the Toemics panels have over some competitive products is meaningful, because it means that these panels won't crumple, crease, crack, or droop as easily as those other panels -- so you don't have to be overly cautious when installing them, cutting to size (or cutting out holes for lights, etc.), bending them slightly to get them up into the ceiling, and so on -- they can certainly still be damaged easily enough, but they're not overly fragile or droop-prone as some other brands I've tried, that look similar at first but then start cracking into pieces during installation (usually due at least in part to simply being too thin)...So, yeah, these aren't the fanciest panels around -- but for what they are, they're among the best of this type -- that I've tried so far, anway.(I'm also looking forward to trying out this pack of black panels in a chessboard/checkerboard pattern with the white panels I already have install in my basement -- it might turn out to be an overwhelming look for my space, but I've seen some game rooms and media rooms before using that design element for their drop ceilings, and it often looks very cool.)

Not What I Anticipated
When I ordered these ceiling tiles I did extensive research first on exactly what I would be purchasing. The reviews were great and I wanted to make sure the tiles were right for the remodel Im doing. The tiles are made well and a quality item. The issue I'm having is the tile is to heavy. I was lead to believe the tiles were lightweight and easy to work with. The tiles do have some weight to them. They're better served in more of an industrial space than in a smaller bathroom ceiling. I really wanted them to work but that's not happening. They simply weigh to much. Great product just not well suited for smaller jobs.
