Works great for checking.

Less than two months old and the brass on the hex end is porous and leaks under pressure. Unfortunately, I'm just past the Amazon 30-day return policy. I appealed to Valterra (A Dometic company) and so far, they are no help. They just want to send me another leaky valve. I would recommend the Camco back flow valve. It is a better-quality part.

Used this check valve to prevent back flow into the domestic cold water supply using a hot water heater, circlating pump and fan-coil unit. Threads are cut properly and seal without leaking.

Well made and the spring keeps it from jiggling open.
