Worth it
Modes Five light modes, plus Off: 1) High, 2) Low, 3) Strobe flash, 4) COB panel light and 5) SOS flash Clicking through the modes in order: High, Low, Strobe flash, COB light, and Off. To trigger the SOS flash, long press the button, and to stop SOS mode and return to Off, click the button. Illumination For the high and low beam modes, there is a high intensity inner area called the “spot”, surrounded by a less illuminated area called the “spill”. The spill is good for illuminating the surroundings while walking at night. The spot is good for providing high illumination on particular objects. The COB light provides a diffused, even light with no focal point, so it is useful for general illumination of an area. On the flashing modes, strobe and SOS, they have the same light pattern as the High/Low beam options. For the flashing modes, I see no value other than emergency signaling. There seems to be no good reason for including two different flashing modes on this flashlight. In my testing I rate illumination on Lux instead of Lumens: • Lumens measure the total light output of a single light source, regardless of direction • Lux measures the number of lumens that reach a surface, considering distance and direction Test Results From three feet away • Spot diameter is 3 inches wide • Spill diameter is 5 feet wide • Light Intensity o High: spot is 3600 lux, spill is 40 lux o Low: spot is 600 lux, spill is 10 lux o COB: general illumination is 100 lux Surface illumination levels for comparison • 1 lux – very dim at any distance, but enough to read by if held directly against a surface • 10 lux - dim, but enough to walk around safely, or for up-close work • 100 lux - enough to light a room comfortably (uncomfortable to look at directly) • 1,000 lux - indoors on an overcast day • 10,000 lux - indoors on a bright day • 30,000 lux - outdoor noon light on an overcast day • 100,000 lux - outdoor noon light on a clear day Full strength duration (from fully charged) • High - 3 hours • COB - 4 hours • Low - 10 hours After that time, light intensity drops quickly to about 1% (1/100th) of full-strength value and lasts for another 10 hours. This low level of light is useful for up-close work or acting as a low-level night-light, but not much else. Recharging the flashlight from empty to full charge using a typical phone charger takes ~4 hours. Charging from empty to full on solar takes 12 hours of full sun, but you can get an ~80% recharge from a six-hour exposure. During charging via USB, red and blue LEDs flash alternately. When fully charged, the LED glows solid blue. When charging from solar, a green LED glows but there is no indication when fully charged. Likes • Lightweight • Solar charging • Low cost (~$10 apiece in August 2024) • Rain protected USB-C and USB-A ports • Solar charging eliminates wall charger access anxiety • IP65 rating means effectively rain-proof but not submersible • Long life Li-Ion battery eliminates battery replacement anxiety • Safe to store in temperatures under 200 degrees Fahrenheit (90 Celsius) • Limited but useful ability to use flashlight as a (very slow) charger for other USB devices • Durable enough to withstand occasional drops, but if you stepped on it you would probably break it Dislikes • No metal bail ring or lanyard hole on bottom to hang light from • SOS flashing mode says HMH (…. -- .…) instead of SOS (… --- …) • No way to tell if the flashlight is fully charged when charging with solar • Right on the edge of too bulky. It’s pocketable, but barely, in front pants pocket • Useless Strobe flash mode, would rather have an ultra-low battery draw “nightlight” setting • Non-replaceable Li-Ion battery lifetime has a ~3-5 year lifetime (keep fully charged for max lifetime) Overall I think you won’t be disappointed for the price. These are good for everyday use, but especially handy during (hopefully occasional) electrical outages. Buy two, keep one charging in a window while you use the other.

Mighty fine lightweight solar flashlight
I like this inexpensive lightweight flashlight. Not as bright as a heavy metal one I also bought, but it has nice features like solar energy for power failure, and the rectangle light will blind you. Careful. Lol. It has hi-low beam, plus a flashing one for emergencies. When I'm carrying food out to my pantry, with injured hands, this light, comfortable one is perfect to hold and grip for the aging few. Wish it had a moveable head to adjust the lighting, but we can't have everything in life. It shipped fast, and you can't beat the price. The baby blue rubber over charging area (two types) and on/off button, is a nice touch, visually and physically. Well done. You can't see me, but I'm giving the designers a standing ovation. Thank you Amazon for selling it.

Great light, very bright.
Very bright. Does not expand the beam like some others; it only has a narrow projection. That's the only reason it's not a 5-star rating. The power bank doesn't charge for long either. It's very light, versatile, and, although made from plastic, it can withstand a beating.

Great solar flashlight with many light options!
Very bright flashlight with many light options. Two degrees of brightness for regular use but also has a strobe option and bright light on length of flashlight. Love the option to charge it via solar panels. A great flashlight!

Not tooooo bad
This is a pretty good flashlight 🔦. Several options of light and good price. I gave it 3 stars because I dropped it and a piece inside came loose and fell out. Not sure what it was to. It is solar and can charge it if you’d rather. It is very light and feels cheap but decided to keep it because of price.

Lightweight brigh easy to charge

Very light weight and actually really bright. My only issue is you have to push the button through all the different light types before you can turn it off. I always get blinded by the side light doing that
