ACME 211.5 Orange

The whistle is plastic, but heavy duty. You can hear it, but it's not ear splitting like you coach's whistle was in PE class. I suspect it sounds louder, or different to the dog. First time I used it my little Boston came running from a distance. He had been trained to come to a human whistle, but I cannot whistle loudly enough when he's far away (we live in the country on acreage). I was pleasantly surprised that this required no additional training. I got a second one just in case.

This is my go to whistle for handling my Labrador when she’s working at a distance. She can easily hear it when she’s further away. I’ve had multiple of these over the years and they all sounded the same. The only issue I have is I keep losing them. They are small and I find myself misplacing mine and purchasing another every year or so but that’s on me. Overall great item. If you’re training your lab or teaching your dog whistle commands, I wouldn’t hesitate to pick one up.

My yellow lab is a quick learner with food rewards. In just a couple days, she was trained to recall with a few toots of the whistle. I think she can hear it from further away than other whistles, and you don't have to blow it hard to get her attention. That makes it a little easier on your ears (and the neighbors) than ordinary whistles. I like the bright orange color -- easy to find if you set it down or drop it. A lanyard is a must-have accessory.

Works well and seems to be well made. It works off and on for our dog which is more than I can say for some other similar devices we have tried. It's definitely not a "silent" whistle which, for us, doesn't matter due to our remote location. Still playing with it and testing.

My 13 year old German Shepherd can’t hear my whistle or voice but can hear the yard blower and slapping. This whistle, though loud is not a frequency she can sense.

I blew the whistle after unboxing and gave my dog a high value beef treat. Did it a second time. And then she made the association. I practice just once a day and she comes running back 50-100 yards into the woods for the special treats. I do 20+ recalls with regular treats, and so she knows the whistle is a great thing. Our dog is just under 2 and so was still very trainable. I wish you luck.

Bought this whistle hoping for something only our dog can hear. Dog ignores it completely and it is clearly audible to humans. High pitched but not high enough. Loud but not super loud so as to be heard across a field.

praktische Pfeife, ob unsere Hunde mittlerweile auf die Frequenz geeicht sind, weiß ich nicht. Da bei uns Pfeifen häufig verschwinden und erst viel später in irgendwelchen Taschen auftauchen, ist es allerdings praktisch, daß alle Pfeifen aus unserem Vorrat dieselbe Frequenz haben.

Purchased a few of these, have one on my car keys too. Pointer knows who's boss ! Not big easy to have in your pocket or on a lanyard. Durable I've dropped my keys plenty with it on. Correct pitch for recall and other commands.

Nice sharp tweet. A more substantial plastic whistle than the lower priced options. It has a solid high pitch that dog responds immediately to. Great to have in off leash areas if your dog is a bit of a runner. Lets other people know you are coming up from behind. No pea so won’t freeze up. Good to have as a rescue whistle if you are a hiker. Bright orange makes it easy to find. Would buy it again.

Pero si tienes un Beagle como en mi caso funciona mejor el 210.5, como que les es más placentero y responden inmediatamente.
