Very cute build
Ok first off, this IS Lego! This came in a very nice box, and the contents follow suits for all of Lego products. Of course, all of the 5 bags are numbered and there is an envelope that holds the instruction book. This particular come with 5 different build instructions that correlate with the numbered bags. This build really lends itself to the younger builders, and that is very evident with the build instructions. On one side of the page is the one or two components that need to be attached. Lego truly makes things easy for all levels of builds.I like the number of minifigs with this build with the majority of them are preschoolers. Not many of Lego’s larger builds had any children minifigs. So, just that aspect alone, this is an awesome small build. This set brings me way back to my first Lego build. It was a gas station and I played with that for months... and I can only imagine that this build will have the same effect on other kids as well.To me it is no surprise that the brick grip is a solid 10/10, the brick edge is also a 10/10, and the brick matching color is of course a 10/10. The instructions is super clear and very concise. My 6yo son put this together in record time and loved adding it to his sisters small block city. This is a great starting build for the younger crowd and would be the perfect gift for anyone’s younger kids or grandkids.

Lego set
I ordered this for my 5 year old to play with. They love building with lego but usually just build their own thing. They don't like following the instructions so my 9 year old built this and my 5 year old plays with this.It was pretty easy for my 9 year old to build it.It comes with the house build, 6 figures, a tree house and two other mini sets. The pieces fit together well and instructions were easy to follow.

Great set in my LEGO neighborhood
My kid found is easy to assemble and was happy with the results. The micro figures make it a fun set to have as the kid can pretend play adult-child interactions.

One Book Per Bag = Multiple Builders
This LEGO #42636 Friends Heartlake City Preschool set allows multiple people to build at the same time, which is a fantastic feature. Each instruction booklet corresponds with a bag of pieces to assemble. The set is geared to kids ages 4+, and I do feel the younger kiddos will need some help. The instructions are simplistic and depict images of small hands holding the required pieces for each step. One page shows the pieces needed along with a set of hands to “hold” them, and the next page shows how they should be assembled. This is a great way to teach little ones how to gather and assemble pieces. The preschool theme of this set will resonate well with the targeted age group. There are six “mini-doll” characters, and representation has come a long way.At 239 pieces, this is one of the more robust sets for this age group. I do feel that the current price point of $49.99 is high for this number of pieces. I would expect to pay somewhere between $0.08 - $0.10 per brick. It’s all too often that the sets for younger builders are overpriced like this.Overall, this is a great set with lots of details and characters. There are quite a few tiny bricks, so be careful with your little ones.

Love it
My kids love their Lego, this one was a hit with my 3 year old but she's very into the tiny pieces so your kid's enjoyment may vary.

Supports new and developing builders
I was skeptical that this set could justify its $49.99 MSRP. Now having experienced it, I still think it's too expensive, but it might be a good choice for some families anyway. The box was surprisingly heavy. I knew there would be larger pieces to accomplish the low piece count relative to the preschool's size, but I wasn't expecting that most of the weight is actually the instruction booklets. There is one booklet for each bag of pieces, so although this set doesn't seem to be tagged Build With Friends, it does support sharing the building experience with friends and family. The instructions themselves are one of the aspects that support the ages 4+ Learn to Build. Each step has its own page with the necessary pieces appearing on the opposite page rather than in an inventory bubble. In addition to helping the youngest builders navigate instructions, I think this adaptation could also support older special needs individuals. The 3D digital instructions in the LEGO Builder app provide a more tradional, streamlined format and also, upon completion, reward you with a fun video of the figures playing with the set's various features. The six figures give kids lots of characters to play with here. I really like some of their faces and that a variety of skintones are featured. I also like that there are no stickers to place on pieces, just prints. Given the younger target age, I was not expecting there would be 1x1 round tiles and flower plates included, so parents of the youngest builders may want to exercise special caution with those smallest pieces. The bees travelling between the flowers is one of the lessons in the classroom, so expect the bees to get lost eventually. I wish additional clock faces had been included to match with the classroom schedule.Overall, I feel the set succeeds as an introduction to school and as an accessible building experience. Whether or not it's a good value, however, depends entirely upon how much its adaptations support your builder's development level. I think two or three of the smaller Learn to Build sets could serve just as well and offer parents' budgets more flexibility.

LEGO Friends - Very Cute Micro Dolls
This is such a cute LEGO set that goes with all our LEGO Friends sets. The age says 4 and up. My 10 year old got this set and loved putting it together. Her favorite part is the 4 micro dolls. She loves playing with the micro dolls with this set and others. This set has a lot of dress up clothes for the dolls and a fun playground. The instructions are clear. There are several different booklets that will walk you through putting this set together.
