We were about to tear up the basement shower to put a proper p-trap in the shower floor, and this was my last try for a solution before digging into the concrete. It works! I’m pretty sure one of our showers was built without a p-trap. I purchased this product because it functions like a p-trap in that it keeps some water in it to prevent fumes from coming through the drain pipe into our condo. It installed easily and simply. It’s made of quality materials. No more odor coming from the drain, and the sounds of water flowing down a shared drain pipe have been dramatically reduced. I like this product so much, I purchased a second to have as a backup if ever needed. Highly recommend!
