This is a great case! I'm very pleased with the look, feel and protection that it offers for my P9P XL. The optional different color button accents are a nice touch (I went with yellow). The case fits the phone perfectly, the volume and power buttons work without a problem, even when swapped out. The magsafe magnets are strong and hold accessories very well. One underrated detail often overlooked with cases is the ease of putting them on and taking them off and this Torras case is very easy to install and remove when needed. One minor flaw is that the material on the back of the case does attract smudges, but I keep an ohsnap attachment that negates that for the most part. For around $20 you can't beat the value that you get for the look and protection this case offers. It's not too bulky, not too slim, it's just right.

I have used Torras's magsafe-capable phone cases for Pixel's 6,7,8 & now 9, specifically P9 Pro XL. Case fit has been perfect in for each phone. The magsafe magnet is adequately strong to make good connection to an Apple MagSafe charging ring, so wireless charging may proceed without interruption. I tried a few other MS-capable cases where the the case material was too thick by perhaps only a millimeter, thus compromising the wireless induction field which causes the phone's battery to recharge. These cases appear to function properly at first, but charging would occur only intermittently. These tricky cases take some time for one to deduce the defect, which does not happen with Torras. Torras magsafe cases work! I really like the high visibility buttons included with Torras case. I used the yellow buttons on all my Pixels to make it easier to see in low light. The colored buttons work the same as the standard black ones, and these all perform without compromising the phone's button function. I am surprised that more case brands have not yet adopted this low-cost / high-utility bonus feature. The Torras case appears to provide protection for the inevitable accidental phone drop. The Pixel 9 Pro XL is a large heavy phone, which makes the job of a protective case more challenging. I have dropped this phone 3-5 times now in the past 10 months, and (hoping this does not jinx me) phone is still mint condition. Screen, camera lens, everything undamaged & like new. I also later purchased a very similar Torras magsafe case for a Galaxy S25+. For whatever reason, Torras' newer cases appear to be significantly slicker in the hand. I believe Torras and other phone case makers have adopted a new slippery polymer formula which supposedly reduces fingerprints & dirt, at the cost of increasing the likelihood you will drop your phone. So be on the lookout for these slippery cases. HTH, good luck.

This is my preliminary review after 2 days of use: PROs: + Beautiful looking case + Good secure fit, easy installation + Works well with my non-magsafe wireless chargers (original Pixel stand) and TYLT charger. + Love the ability to change out the color buttons + Smooth feeling in hand without being too slippery. It is leather-like in how grippy it is . + Healthy amount of lip protection all around the screen and camera lenses. Could be PRO OR CON: +/- The "G" logo on the phone is actually centered within the magsafe ring on my Pixel 9 Pro XL despite the Amazon photos showing otherwise (see attached picture). I notice that this is one of few cases i've seen where it's centered, so im wondering whether or not this will really work on a magsafe charger. I've seen some other comments saying that the magsafe charging doesn't work, but i haven't been able to test it myself. +/- The strength of the magnetic ring is not quite stong enough to hold the phone on the side of a flat metal surface. But if the case is empty, then it will hold. I know this is not how it's meant to be used but this is just to give you an idea of how strong the magnet is. However, i have used this on a couple magsafe compatible mounts for the car and found that the force is sufficient on the Peak Design vent mount and very strong on the Ugreen vent mount. CONs: - Although the text of the listing says it's BLACK, most of the photos in the listing show a slightly navy blue tint. I feel like it would've been more attractive in this bluish color. Unfortunately, this appears to be an issue with almost all black Torras cases listed on Amazon. It could just be a color temperature issue with their photos, but i wish that they would fix it to reflect the real color of their cases. - Despite having a matte finish on the hard polycarbonate back, it can still develop fingerprints and oils, though not as bad as a shiny back. - I wish it was slightly gripper. There is a texture but its not really visible to the naked eye. I attached a close-up of the grip texture (see attached pics). It doesn't quite match the close-up texture shown in the listing pictures. - There is roughly a 1mm gap all the way around the lens bar, which makes it not an exact fit (see attached pic). I worry that dust or lint might gather in that area. - The buttons are slightly skinnier than the buttons on the phone. I wish they would've kept it the same size for ease of actuation. Despite this, the actuation force and tactility is nice. - The lip is raised at the same thickness all the way around the screen, which is aesthetically pleasing and good for protection, but not great for swiping back with your thumb since it catches the lip more during use. I prefer cases where only the lips at the top and bottom are raised and the side lips are lowered for ease of access/use. - I don't know if this was an oversight by Torras, but the holes in front of the SIM slot partially covers up the slot in a weird way and I can't think of a reason for it (see picture).
