I gave it 3 stars cause the quality build is not the best, but for $40 It's what it is. I STILL BUY them because they are extremely comfortable and look nice. The 3 stars are because they only last about 6 months usually with the bottoms having a crack somewhere allowing them to get wet inside and around the seams. Than the "leather" around the toe areas start to wear down and flake off. Doesn't seem to handle any moisture well. If they get wet and you don't dry them, they'll get a bubble under the material and then eventually peel... They have them at Payless for $5.00 more, so it's best to wait for a BOGO sale and get two pairs.

My second pair in 2 months. First pair were leather comfort mocs. The soles literally fell off. I tried fixing them with shoe goo to the point I was just wearing goo shoes to work. A real shame too the uppers were still perfect and the tread wasn't even worn. They were nice leather waterproof shoes but the dam soles fell off.This time I put a bead of e6000 all around the seam where the sole meets the upper double coats of scotch guard all over....if that doesnt work the soles will be taken completely off and reset with e6000, but really why should anyone have to do any of this??Will update rating if these last, if they don't I will drop the rating and be done with this payless brand.

I was disappointed, too hard to break in.I mistanlybought these because I have had at least 5 pair of the Saf-t-step sjeakers.8 like the tred on the soles for work 9n ship decks at wea. But the tops always wear out way before the soles, so I thought I would like to try the leather slip on shoes. Very hard and uncomfortable in the front especially, and much heavier than expected.

Good buy. Used to buy them at Payless before they went out of business. I am really glad Amazon had the same shoes. My husband wears them for work. He is on his feet all day and these shoes are very comfortable.

I had blight a pair like this 2yrs ago and lasted me that long. So far, looks exactly like what I had before and hope the quality lasts me the same.

They don't have the comfort or style or rugged feeling as better brands.. I tried as replacement for Thorgood shoes and ended up going back to thorgood. Just didn't work for me

My husband loves these shoes! He found them several years ago at PayLess and I can't convince him to wear anything else. He also has wide feet so buying the correct shoe for him is not easy. Plus he needs to insert Supefeet insoles for his fallen arches (they fit perfectly). He loves the fit and raves about the shoe having an excellent grip on even slippery surfaces.If you want a very good shoe for the money, this is the one for you. He was so happy when he found them on Amazon after PayLess shuttered their brick and mortar stores. Thanks Amazon!

My husband loves these shoes. It's his second pair, the first one being purchased at Payless. He's glad to find these here at Amazon, and that Payless still has the shoes he likes.

Payless went out of business, so getting these cheap shoes I can burn through at work (I am hard on shoes, and I'd rather lose a pair of $30 shoes than my $270 work boots).

Comfortable and durable. Would buy again
