CAP BarbellCoated Dumbbell Weight | Multiple Options Pairs & Sets

I purchased a pair of 8 lb CAP Coated Dumbbells for the gym at our community clubhouse. They arrived with each dumbbell protected in bubble wrap, cushioned with foam and individually packaged one to a box with those two boxes inside a strong outer box. No risk of damaging during transit. The rubber ends are sturdy and look very nice. To prevent rust, the dumbbells are coated with light oil, so you'll want to take the time to clean it off or it will get all over your gym clothes and benches. Ask me how I know... There's also a slight odor to the rubber ends. It was most noticeable when they arrived but after less than two weeks of using them, it has dissipated quite a bit. I'm pleased with my purchase and the price, for the quality, is reasonable.

These are perfect for my home gym! I was in need of the next weight up. I was searching for a pair of 30 pounders without having to buy two separate ones. These were sold as a pair at a good price and no worries: absolutely no odor and no grease! I did gently clean them off before beginning to use them, but that's just me.

I am very happy with my investment. These will fit my 3-7-21 workout to failure goal perfectly. I was a little skeptical due to the rubber encasing as I wanted all cast iron but I'm familiar with CAP and these are growing on me. The price point is another plus as it seems premiums are placed on items of fitness and the healthy lifestyle overall. Gain, happy with my investment and I highly recommend.

I love these weights, they are quiet, and the grip is super comfortable and easy to use. I prefer the functionality to my other noisy interchangeable weights. No rattling or squeaking! I work out in the early morning hours, and I don't have to worry about waking up my wife. I plan to buy more of these weights as I need them.

For the price, you can’t go wrong! Excellent value.There are “prettier” dumbbells, but what you need in a dumbbell is function over looks. That being said, these dumbbells look pretty darn good. I ordered 10lb thru 35lb sets. Yes, they come in pairs of two and not single dumbbells like others have claimed.As for the smell… there is a rubbery odor when I unboxed the weights. What do you expect? They’re rubber! Have you even been to a tire shop? All rubber will have an odor. However, these did not smell overpowering by any means.Other reviewers have mentioned they were oily, but I received all 14 of the dumbbells and not one of them needed wiped down.I ordered the black handled dumbbells and the paint does take away some of the gnarling on the handle as the paint fills up the smack between the checkering. It’s still there, just not very pronounced. Yes, the black paint had some scuffs (probably dyes to sitting in a box with other handles until they were needed. But, again, they are weights, I hope you’re getting these to workout and not take pictures with.One of the 35lb weights did have a small flaw where the rubber had an air pocket that came to the surface. What the manufacturer did was put a little more rubber over top of it. When I noticed it, I kinda scraped it a bit and it came off exposing the hole underneath. Not a deal breaker. I’ll fill it with some Krazy Glue and it will be fine.Would I order them again? Absolutely. I’m planning on ordering the 40, 45, and 50 pound weights next month!

They work as intended obviously, don’t think you can really go wrong with dumbbells but what’s up with the smell? I know rubber smells like rubber but these dumbbells smell like they’ve been sitting in a tire shop for 2 weeks. Not only that but the coating on it stains really easily. I won’t put them on the bare floor so instead a mat, but the smell is what throws you off, especially if you get nauseous from strong odors.

These dumbbells are the best price on Amazon the only thing that I don't like is the 20 lb emblem on the dumbbell is not painted it's solid black so it's hard to see what weight it is but I solve that problem with a $3 paint pen on Amazon that I bought just for this and I painted the 20 lb emblem on the dumbbell with white paint pen and it looks perfect just like the ones they want to sell you for another $10 with paint on them and I've got a whole selection from 15 lb to 60 lb dumbbells and I saved a bunch of money by buying these with no paint on the emblems but all you got to do is spend three bucks for that paint pen and save a ton of money

Great they are very convenient when I don’t want to go to the gym. I just do a few home exercises with them. Great!
