Worth the price. Nothing fancy, but simplicity is what I was after and this has been perfect!
I have been using this in my mobile DJ rig and I absolutely love it! I am a simple, straight forward DJ and most of the gigs I get are clients just wanting music played with one song faded into the next. I am not a club DJ who does a bunch of fancy mixes and remixes, so I love the simplicity and small size of this controller. It has everything I need to do a simple job that makes my customers happy. I will say that if you are planning to use the included Virtual DJ software for professional use, you are going to have to pay a monthly subscription fee or a very high price for a lifetime use of the software that will allow you to use this professionally. Only using the included software without the upgrade will be too limited to use it professionally for events. I was pretty upset about this at first, but I do love the pro version and all it has to offer. If you are more into doing club mixes and want to use different controllers that have more bells and whistles, most controllers will work with this software. They also offer subscriptions to Content Unlimited (Music), Karaoke and music videos. These work with the software and you don't have to do anything once you subscribe but scroll down to find "Content Unlimited" then "Search Audio" or "Search Karaoke" or "Search Video" (Depending on which you are wanting and have subscribed to) Content Unlimited is great. It's nice to have in case you don't have a song on CD ripped into your hard drive. You can search for songs and almost always find anything you're looking for and it will load and stream straight into the program or you can download to cache ahead of time if you think you may be playing in a place where there is no wifi or bad cell reception.(I have used the mobile hot spot on my phone at a few gigs and have had no problems but played a gig this week out in the sticks and my cell reception was not good) It is worth subscribing to. The karaoke subscription is totally NOT worth it. I could hardly find anything in karaoke that I searched for and of what I did find, the music was not up to par in half of it. I can not speak to the music video subscriptions as I have not given that a try or had the need for it, but I may try it out soon, just to see, but I already have a collection of music videos of almost everything from the 80's and that is usually the only time I do Video Jockey is 80's events. But back to the controller. If you're looking for simple, reliable and affordable, you cannot go wrong with the DJ2GO. If you don't like the included software or don't want to pay subscriptions or purchase the full version at a ridiculous price, then you can use this with other DJ software if you want to take the time to learn how to map it out, unless it already has it set up to choose from in a list in the software.

Great DJ Controller for Beginners and Professionals
I was introduced to the DJ 2 Go controller by a peer who is a professional DJ for events, and encouraged to thoroughly lean it. He loaned me his DJ 2 Go, and after getting to know the controls and using it to play music at my high school's prom, I bought one. The unit is constructed of a plastic that doesn't necessarily look the best, but it seems very durable (I haven't dropped my unit or otherwise had any incidents where damage could occur, so I'm basing this from the feeling). The sliders, buttons, and knobs are very easy to use and understand, and the backlit buttons help keep the focus on what matters. Performance-wise, the DJ 2 Go works perfectly; so much that I have used it in a professional setting. It is easy to use and set up, and very easy to transport from place-to-place due to its small but functional size and light weight. Though I didn't run numbers, I don't believe there's any reason to assume there's lag, as I've used the controller for a few months with no issues along those lines. The unit also maps key functions through MIDI, so the different interface features can be reprogrammed to perform different functions, and for MIDI geeks, can be programmed to work outside of DJ software for other purposes. I don't recommend this for anyone unfamiliar with keymapping, but it can be useful at times. The software which the controller comes with is VIrtualDJ LE ("light edition" as I'm told), and since trying it, I've avoided it as much as possible. Though the software works the same as the full version of VirtualDJ, the interface is designed to look like the controller, making it look very clunky and making it difficult to work as I normally would inside any DJ software. If you can live with those factors, you will be fine, though I'd recommend purchasing a license for compatible software for the sake of your sanity. VirtualDJ is fully supported, and what I use. Focusing on the unit itself, it's a great buy for anyone looking to get a relatively inexpensive and great DJ controller, and it holds up very nicely. It's lightweight, durable, and has all the functionality you need to play music, and when paired with professional DJ software, is perfect for professional jobs. You won't find a better piece of hardware for the price and quality offered.

Very fun controller to use.
Really enjoy using this little guy in Traktor. I've successfully DJed some pretty large parties with this controller. It's always connected reliably and preforms without any kinks. The illuminated buttons are very bight. Great when you can't see what you're doing in dark conditions. The knobs, crossfade and level controls have a very sturdy, professional feel to them. On the downside the jog wheels are pretty annoying to use and feel pretty plasticy. But I did not buy this controller expecting much from them. On the other hand, the scroll knob in the center works very well and slightly "clicks" into place when turning it. Very satisfying and effective to use when scrolling through songs, etc. The controller also fits perfectly below my keyboard, over my trackpad on my laptop. Pretty convenient when you want to play around on a car ride or when you don't have access to a table to lay it out on. I only wish that the pitch bent buttons would be replaced with a couple more knobs! (To control the filter or effects).

I was a DJ once, back in the days when there were physical track consoles and you had to actually mix your music. DATs and CDs were the order of the day and the occasional LP never hurt. Ever since apps came into the picture though, I have had a tough time trying to play music on the computer. See, I am a hobby DJ. For me, it's about passion not money or fame. And so I kind of gave up playing music for a long time, because I really didn't enjoy the whole laptop mixing bit. Until, I accidentally came across this beauty one Sunday morning on Amazon. This wonderful piece of technology gives you physical control over your DJ software and even adds a lite version of Virtual DJ Pro to brighten up your day. It's so simple and yet so advanced, that I felt like a little kid all over again. Mind you, this is not a toy. It actually doubles up as a backup mixer for some top DJs (see the Youtube reviews). It might look very delicate, but is not! I have been using it for a week now, and there's not even a scratch on it. What is impressive is the functionality of it all. I mean you don't get loops and other advanced features, but you can scratch, sync, mix and raise the pitch effortlessly. For this price, this is an awesome gadget. It took me a couple of days to get in sync with the way this works. But soon, I was ready to go, happily mixing tracks like there was nothing else in the world that mattered. I feel like going back to my playing days now :). And it's the perfect device if you want to learn to become a DJ. A few basic requirements to keep in mind when you order this thing: # A second USB-based sound card. If your comp / laptop has a primary sound card you will need to use that for the speaker output. But a second sound card is required to actually hear the tracks you mix. Mind you, this device has no additional ports so you will need to use the USB of your device for the sound card. You can pick these up on Amazon for as low as Rs. 150 along with this controller. # A good pair of headphones # A nice LONG extension cord from your laptop / PC to your 5.1 # A good collection of music # A reasonably well equipped machine (I recommend at least 4 GB RAM and 1.6 Ghz processor, though I am sure that even lesser will do.) Now, you're all set to play.
