I have no complaints about this system except that from time to time when restarting the device your back lighting maybe off and it'll take some time for it to get back on. It's incredibly lightweight and very powerful. It works really well as a reasonably priced PC gaming handheld. It's light enough that if you have joint issues with your wrists or arms you can use it very easily. It's got enough power to play high-end games given that you make sure you're using the right settings.

This thing is awesome. I'm playing Hitman WOA on Steam and its quite clean and the screen is beautiful. I havent run any bench marks yet, but its running smoothly. ChatGPT says Cyberpunk 2077 will run well with some reasonable attention to settings as well. I love this thing!

This device is awesome, meet and exceeded all my expectations. From the performance to the battery life. Coming from the legion go original, I was worried I would have an issue with the smaller screen but honestly I dont even noticed it. Fans are quite.

Awesome device, very powerful and a huge upgrade from steam deck. Windows is a down, but works very well and performance using Bazzite is really great. I recommend getting this. Size is good and comfort to hold.

I have had the claw 8 ai+ for a month now and love it. With it being a windows device, it comes with all the pains of windows updates but that was expected. Otherwise, this thing is great! It can handle most newer games on at least medium settings. A lot of newer games will run ultra. The best part is I can use steam, xbox, gog, epic, ea, ubisoft and whatever other launchers. I get about an hour and a half when playing when not plugged in with ai settings on. I get about one hour with all settings maxed. I got a 100w charger (it comes with a 45w) and a dock to hook it up to my tv. Works fine, just make sure you have low latency (gaming mode on some tvs) turned on. It is BIG for a handheld, but that's what I wanted. But, it is strangely lightweight for how big it is. The screen is super bright and the speakers are decent. They aren't super high quality, but they are fine for gaming. Just don't expect to use it as your primary way of listening to music. Also, the 2 thunderbolt ports make it semi-futureproof. You can use those to hook up an external GPU if you want. I do wish that it came with a true users guide. There are a lot of little tips and tricks that it doesn't tell you. Such as, I had no idea the power button doubles as a fingerprint scanner! I would definitely watch some YouTube videos on features and tips for it. And as always, UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE all the software and firmware. It will run much better. Pros: great battery life, can handle most games, has all the features of a windows laptop. Cons: price, speakers, and no real user guide. Overall, if you have the money, I would recommend it.

Handhelds have a long way to go. This is definitely not worth $1200, if you already own a gaming pc there’s really no use for this unless you travel and even then is it really worth that much to play for a couple hours on a trip? To me it’s not.. here are my pros and cons on using this for the last 3 weeks (returning it) Pros 1) 8 inch screen is the sweet spot, much better than 7 inches on the Xbox ally x / 120fps / VRR 2) performance in majority of games new and old were great. 3) best handheld in the market performance wise at the time I’m writing this review THE MAIN REASON IM RETURNING IT!! this is not started by these YouTubers or reviewers of this product, the right thumbstick is way too loose!! It’s borderline unplayable for fps games!! There’s no fix around it. I don’t know who designed this and thought it was okay, it will be a nightmare trying to aim on the claw msi 8 ai + Cons 1) ergonomics are awful, after about 10-15 mins my hands start to feel uncomfortable coming from the steam deck it’s definitely frustrating and I have big hands. 2) the software on the claw ai 8+ is laggy and buggy, updated everything and no change. Not to mention it’s ran off of windows which stinks. 3) NBA 2k26 for whatever reason did not work on Intel drivers, Madden 26 performance was weak for me at max TDP online game was only averaging unstable 38-50fps this is due to Intel drivers not being optimized. 4) the price, I’d consider getting this if it was $700 or less, in my opinion the steam deck which is $300-400 would do the job for me and my use case. 5) slow charging speeds Overall I’m mostly a multiplayer PVE/PVP guy and handhelds are just currently not it for those games. I believe by 2028 we will see a massive gap and then it will be the time to pull the trigger. These handhelds will tank in value within the next year just like the rest. 6.5/10

I'm gonna start with I have the MSI ge66 raider. I bought it 3 years ago and I love it. I never have a problem with it and it plays everything perfectly. With that being said I was very hopeful about getting the claw. Don't do it. Took a couple hours to set up, update, and get fallout 76 with some mods installed. I played it for an hour and everything worked perfect. Smooth great graphics everything was good. Went to take a nap and let it charge for an hour. When I woke up I went to turn it on and nothing. Just a couple of slight vibrations and nothing. Went online and looked up anything and everything I can do to make it work. I tried everything except opening it and nothing worked. I called MSI customer support next. I've dealt with some bad customer support in the day but MSI was some of the worst I've ever experienced. Literally no help whatsoever and just said to return it to Amazon. Don't waste your time, money, or aggravation. I'm just gonna order the steamdeck and call it a day.

Tenía duda sobre invertir mucho dinero en esta consola, pero puedo decir ahora con toda certeza y seguridad que esta consola no solo cumple, supera mis expectativas y sobre todo vale cada centavo. Esta versión de MSI con chip Intel es totalmente distinta a todo lo que he comprado, Rog Ally, Steamdeck y Legión Go, corre la mayoría de juegos AAA arriba de los 30 - 40 FPS en calidad media y con una resolución 1920x1200, lo cual es un extasis visual y para los más exigentes (como yo) cumple muchísimo con este tema de calidad gráfica en relación con rendimiento. Por ultimo los materiales de construcción son excepcionales, se siente robustez y calidad, por lo cual se siente un equipo de gama alta y lo que son gatillos y joystick es de lo mejor en handhelds. Sin duda MSI me ha comprado como usuario y si vuelve a sacar una consola que compita o supere al mercado me tendrá como cliente asegurado.

great device for the money i use mine as a mini pc connected to a monitor you could not get this spec mini pc for the same price if you get thee flashing rgb problem when you first get it update the bios and firm ware through msi center and you will be able to sort it out

Pro: affordable, can run most games. Decent speakers. Against: BIOS & Windows updates brick your controllers. You have to jump through hoops to get them running again and then they get bricked again. Still rating this high as this would be an issue across most Windows handhelds.
