Another quality product from Q Acoustics.
I purchased the Q Acoustics M20 powered speakers, but although these are a great speaker on their own I feel that they are missing a little of the lower frequency bass. I did some research and decided on the Q Ac 3060s subwoofer and it has completely lifted the overall sound experience, it’s a fantastic speaker of a really high quality, at a fair price. All you need to do is back off the crossover and bring it up to add the bass detail to your taste and bring the level up to find your own preference.

Great cost effective upgrade to hifi
Current set up is a marantz CD6006 cd player, marantz PM6007 amp. The speakers are Q Acoustic 2020 which I had from a midi system. I noticed all though the sound staging was brilliant the system need a bit of bass and I was slightly underwhelmed. Got to say it’s out done my expectations and elevated my hifi bringing more clarity to the bass and drums. I would go as far as saying I am enjoying the sound as much as my more top end Cyrus monobloc with Mission floorstanding speakers bi wired, it’s that good. Acoustic tracks sound better with than without, so I imagine most genres would benefit from this addition. I possibly could have gone down the speaker upgrade instead but for the money it’s been a great upgrade. There’s plenty left in as I set the recommended settings and had to turn it down to 33% from 50%. I am running it with an Amazon basic RCA cable. The subwoofer comes with spikes or rubber feet to go over the spikes. I think the only improvement would be to provide dedicated rubber feet alternative as I noticed the rubber feet come of easily when setting it up. I also like the hole underneath to feed cables into the recessed area which has a magnetic cover to keep things tidy. The level and crossover buttons are still accessible but are flush with the back plate. They seem easily to adjust so depending on what you are playing you can easily adjust without moving the unit. Possibly I would have preferred the rocker switch for on off on the back accessible otherwise it remains in standby unless you switch off at plug or take magnetic cover off and use rocker switch.

Great sub at a great price but...
It sounds great with surprisingly deep, powerful tones and It looks great too but now I've lived with it a few weeks the black speaker grille is really jarring. I have the QA 3050i's, the 3030i's and the 2000Ci which is basically the entire cinema package and they all have very pale grey cloth on the grilles. They all look great so the black in the sub looks really out of place. That is my only complaint, it's brilliant in every other way. Suitable for small to mid sized rooms.

Good but not the very best
This is a neat, slim sub with decent bass extension that is well voiced to match other speaker in the Q Acoustics range. It isn't as punchy as competitors nor does it have the huge reach of others. It's very effective in stereo with some 3020i I own, played via an Audiolab 6000a but for home theatre it's a little lightweight. No high level inputs means that versatility is limited too. It's considerably more attractive than most subs though and is definitely worth owing if you have other speakers from the same manufacturer

Excellent compliment to hifi.
The sub is discreet, easy to set up and use and most important, provides all the low end that was missing from my hifi system, which wasn’t bad in the first place. It fills out the lower bass perfectly without being intrusive ( depending on how you set it). Much cheaper than some other subs and that befits the rest of my system .

Nice budget subwoofer
Nice design and colour. Good noise. Wee bit annoying access to switches. But Overall I'm happy with the purchase.

Dubious at first but wow
Adding a subwoofer to my qacoustics media 4 was not something that I considered to be an option as I thought the onboard bass was already excellent. When I git into music production the m4 could caver all of the ranges perfectly. The thing I was afraid off was my bass or drums myths damage the onboard woofer. With the m4 being 219 and the woofer being 300 I grudgingly spent the money. Boy how was I wrong. The bass is beautiful and there is a crossover and level dial. There is a very thoughtful cable management system and at first you get vibration if you turn the level too high. One the speaker loosens up, it covers everything very surprisingly well. I can hear the bass drum beautifully and with full clarity as also bass guitar. The unit is so good that I would give 20 out if 10. Listening to classical music is a true rediscovery. I was dubious but am a true convert. The m4 seems to reroute the power that the onboard woofer to the 2 stereo speakers, The whole setup is the one of the most faithful music production rigs I have ever heard and beautiful. For gaming and films also, it is a joy. All of the sounds somehow seem more pronounced and intricate.

Absolut empfehlenswert!

Sounds as good as it looks. Clean and clear tone. Cables hide nicely behind unit out of sight. Extremely well built and that low end is incredible.

I've been a long time fan of Q Accoustics and have owned a pair of 3020 bookshelf speakers for apartment living in NYC. As I've started going down the rabbit hole of my audio experience I realized the mids and lows weren't where I wanted them to be. I am totally digging my set up now and the slim size and deep mids and lows from the 3060 is incredible and pairs wonderfully with the 3020s.
