Great Screen Size
I have been using the libra colour for almost two months and really like it. The color quality is great and it is nice to have colored highlights and book covers-I appreciated it more than I thought I would. The screen brightness and color temperature are easy to adjust and offer may options depending on you preference and the lighting around you. I really like the physical page turn buttons and the contours and materials are comfortable in my hands. The case is great-it wakes and sleeps the device without automatically and the case can turn into a stand which comes in handy. The bookstore has a very large selection and it was easy to connect with my library card and borrow books. This is a nice reader and I recommend.

Excellent eReader, Best in Price Point
I'll preface with I recently became a pretty avid reader on Kindle after never really finding the appeal of an eReader. Yet, I definitely felt so short falling with my paperwhite. Mostly surrounding easily sideloading non Kindle books and having better customization around fonts/styles/general appearance of books. The one positive I will give Kindle over Kobo is that it takes time to adjust to the difference in the appearance of the screen and the text, with the Kobo having a grainer appearance, where paperwhite has a crisp screen with very little fatigue from longer periods of reading. Yet, the flexibility options of Kobo is unmatched for the price point. Kobo's e-store has frequent sales on good titles and if you have a lot of content on your own, it plugs right in Calibre on your desktop for ease. I downloaded about 100 of my own ePub's with just the click of a button. After a bit of tweaking with the text settings, I could easily settle into text that was just as comfortable as reading from my paperwhite. I also prefer the physical page buttons and general layout. If you desire a color reader, this truly in my opinion is the better option; including the ability to use a stylus if you're a frequent annotator which I am not, and cannot attest to it's quality.

This thing is amazing!
I wasn’t sure if a color e-ink reader was actually worth it, but after using the Kobo Libra Colour, I’m honestly really glad I bought it. Reading Experience The screen looks great. Text is super easy on the eyes, and the color is nicer than I expected. It’s not tablet-level bright, but it makes book covers, comics, and little illustrations look way better. It just makes reading feel a bit more “fun.” Design The white version looks clean, and the shape is perfect for holding with one hand. The page-turn buttons are a game changer—way more comfortable than tapping the screen nonstop. It’s also waterproof, so I don’t have to baby it. Performance Battery life is classic e-reader levels (aka forever). The lighting is really good, and I like being able to adjust the warmth at night. Bluetooth works fine for audiobooks, and 32GB storage means I’ll never run out of space. Pros – Especially Compared to a Kindle Open file support — Reads EPUB, PDFs, and sideloaded books easily (no awkward conversions). More control — Better font and layout options without jumping through hoops. Color reading — Makes comics, children’s books, and illustrated content look nicer. Physical page buttons — So much more comfortable than tapping the screen every time. Library freedom — Borrowing library books is smoother and less annoying than on some Kindle setups. No forced ecosystem — You don’t have to buy all your books from one store. What I Like Most Reads pretty much any file I throw at it Feels great to hold Color actually adds more than I expected Buttons! Weeks and weeks of battery Small Downsides Colors are a bit muted, and the text isn’t quite as bold as pure black-and-white e-ink devices. Neither issue bothers me personally, but worth knowing. Overall If you’re on the fence, I’d say go for it. It’s super comfortable to use, the color is a nice bonus, and honestly it beats my old Kindle in a bunch of ways. I’m really happy with this purchase.

LOVE IT! The case could have been better 😅
I LOVE IT!! I'm a first timer and I love it! I didn't think I would enjoy reading with an ereader because I'm really a physical copy lover. Still love hard copies, it's just that ereader is an addition! ☺️❤️ I just wish that there is an option for clear case with the cover and it's detachable, so I didn’t have to buy a separate one just so if I want to read with a strapsicle or maybe a popsocket, I don't have to remove the whole thing, but just the cover. Also, there's a small black thing on the case (not sure if it can be seen in the picture). Can't determine if it's a scratch or something. But for sure it's not dirt because I tried to clean it but it's not coming off.

Works For My Mom (and she's not easy to please)
Got for my 94-year-old mom whose eyesight is starting to fade. She squints hard and has to hold her bulky book up to the light. She is an avid reader and borrows books from her local public library. I had gotten her a Kindle about 5 years ago, but having to download books from library to Amazon to Kindle device was confusing for her, so she never used it. I researched devices and found the Kobo, which directly downloads library books to the device. I was still doubtful about her ability to use it, but surprisingly she mastered it right away. Of course I set it up for her and then told her to stay out of the settings. Instead of squinting and hurting her eyes, she is now reading with ease. Device is good size. Got the B & W Clara (because she didn't need color) at same time to compare. Clara has a smaller screen and is awkward and uncomfortable to hold (you have to hold it at the bottom). Also, the clarity of the typeface is hard to read, as the screen doesn't get very bright and there is essentially no contrast. To be fair, the Libra isn't much better. And I tried every combination of light level, font style and size, sharpness of print, etc. And using color made no difference. I used to work in a darkroom, and I'm used to manipulating photos with filters and other methods to enhance them. Basically, both devices need a brighter backlight and a lot more contrast to make the type crisper. **The Kindle readers beat the Kobo ones hands down in this area!** The color on the Libra doesn't make any difference either. I got the Libra Colour because the 7" screen is a better size and you can hold it comfortably on the side. The overall design of the Libra is just much better than the Clara. But they do need to make a B & W Libra! You can jot notes (pen is extra $) and highlight with the Libra Colour, but I think most people just want a reader. So, to get the device that had more of the features that I wanted, I had to get the color version of the Libra. This is a nice combo package. Including the dedicated Kobo sleep cover is worth the extra cost. I got the green and it is actually a nice pastel shade. I'm going to attach some photos of the screen. One shows one of the "cheat sheets" that I made for my mom, showing her steps to take. I hope this review helps to explain some of the pluses and minuses of the Kobo Libra Colour. My mom loves hers and says it is the best gift I've ever given her. It's nice to get something right, once in a while. lol

Wonderful e-reader and cute case
This e-reader is truly wonderful. Having the ability to borrow library books on the go is a game changer. I love that I'm able to highlight and annotate as I usually do while reading, and the addition of a word list is great. Its small and light enough to not be awkward to hold on the go, yet big enough to read and browse comfortably. The blue light adjustment is also a great touch. The case color is true to how it looks in the pictures and is very cute. Im not a big fan of the location of the power button or the lack of ability to use corded headphones with audio books, but the pros heavily outweigh these cons for me. Also, be mindful that the library browse feature is more like looking at random curated wishlists, rather than organizing by genre or author alphabetically, which can be a bit annoying.

Absorbs ink and oil
Be careful when setting this down on any pen writing even if its dry, the case will absorb it. And it discolors from the oil in your hands. Sad its not pretty anymore.
