Bought these bags, as I wanted something slightly bigger than the 8X5. These are the perfect size and hold more than I thought. I feel good about storing things in them as they seem well constructed. They are also thick, unlike another company's product that I also purchased from Amazon with the same 4200 temp rating which were super thin. These have a good zipper and closing flap. Nice safe bags!

I purchased this item over some other fireproof bag options because 1) it has a higher fire rating than most and 2) it has a built-in lock.Pros: The product seems very sturdy and once you understand how to use it, the lock is pretty cool.Cons: I could not easily figure out how to use the lock. There were no instructions with the product. I came back on Amazon and found the instructions here on this product page. While I'm all for saving trees, I feel lock usage instructions should have been included with the bag.Overall, I'm happy with the product.

I saw a video where the envelope will survive the fire, but the contents will turn to ash, but it stood up well in an oven.Obviously it can't lower the temperature of a house fire to protect its contents, but it will keep everything safe and easy to find better than nothing. It's not very cumbersome and could fit between mattresses.I bought these for someone else, and I'm buying another pair for me.

The bag in itself works it's a decent safe. But the main issue I'm having is that it didn't come with the lock? Like the locking mechanism is there and the codes work but the actual piece used to make the lock keep it closed is not there? So if I am given that piece then it would be a 5 star review. But I can't even use it properly as a safe cause I can't lock it
