Great when you don’t have a lot of space
I thought the pockets could’ve been just a little bit larger, but it’s super well-made very sturdy fabric. I also thought that the water would kind of drip down from one pocket down into the other, but they must be treated with something and the water just goes out the back if it’s too much. I already have things growing in it after just a few days and I’m really excited to see how they hold up

Pockets are small and no water retention
SunVara Fence Planters Wall Planters for Outdoors Plants Vertical Planter Balcony Planter Vertical GardenThe planter seems to be well made as far as construction and seams. The fabric will hold the dirt but water seeped out all sides, so do not put it in a high sun spot or you'll need to water every day. It is also on the smaller side. I wanted to grow herbs that I could just go snip off as needed and not have to fuss over much. With this I have to constantly monitor for dryness and I think the roots are getting bound as growth is hindered in the small pouch. Maybe succalents would well in this. Unfortunately just not working for me.

Cute idea, but a little more work than you'd expect.
I love the idea, but in practice, the small soil volume dries out relatively quickly in the sun, but being vertically mounted to a wall or fence, there's not many options on where you can place them that won't be either in full shade or direct sun for at least half the day; obviously, more sun is better, so you're gonna have to be very careful about soil choices, grow drought-tolerant plants, or water every single day.I was originally thinking I'd use these for strawberries, but they really do not do well here. The best answer ended up being densely-planted crawling herbs like thyme, oregano, rosemary, mint, while parsley and sage did okay. Cilantro and dill bolt very quickly and never grow many leaves; their drought response. If you're very limited on space, or have a creative way to set them up for drip/mist irrigation, go for it, but keep the limitations in mind or try something else, like mounting more substantial window boxes on the same surface.

Pretty good
I ordered these planters because my mom loves gardening. And she was trying to look for something to keep all of her flowers in a nice concise location without them disrupting the rest of her vegetables. I really love that this is not just a planter for flowers, but also a décor piece. She really liked it and she mentioned, how easy gardening has been with this. She is quite happy with it as it is lightweight but fits quite a few plants in it. It came packaged very, very wild and it arrived earlier than expected. I am glad that she likes it. And she has it hanging up in her front yard. And I am considering ordering another for her for her backyard.

Hangs right on the gate!!! I love it!
This vertical planter is great and hangs right on the fence. The pockets are a decent size and should be perfect for herbs of leaf lettuces. It feels like it is made out of good material and comes with some things you may need to hang it. I put it out in the elements immediately and it has been holding up find ever since.I totally recommend this product!!! I may buy more, they turn previously unusable space into usable space.

Great quality!
I love this! I added this to our greenhouse to grow greens year round. The material is very thick so that there isn’t water leakage on the back wall. We have it in the green house so there is always moisture - so I am not sure about how dry it would be hanging it on an inside wall.

Good for shallow rooted plants
I've always been curious about this style go planter since seeing how some people would repurpose hanging shoe organizers as planters. The felt will last much longer than the shoe organizer material. These have decent sized pockets and would be good for shallow rooted plants like many flowers. They would also work for any herbs that are used regularly and not allowed to turn into the giants that my basil or friend's rosemary have become. The felt is the same as the grow bags I use which do have the advantage that the roots of the plants seem to self prune and not get root bound and circle like in plastic or other rigid pots because the felt allows for air circulation. That is a plus. Be aware that these will have to be watered more frequently because the circulation also causes them to dry out faster so in summertime I need to water my plants twice a day unless it rains and with these pockets not being as deep as my grow bags, I will have to monitor if that is enough which might not work with my schedule and really need to be figured out for any day trips or vacations. Plus unlike the grow bags which can be placed to get the rainwater, these would be under eaves or in my entry where they would not get rain except for the increased humidity unless I attach them to a fence. The style isn't really something that adding irrigation drip lines to would be practical or aesthetic. Also consider which wall you will attach this too because as you water, to thoroughly water the soil, there may be times that the water will drip out the bottom and back of these so I don't think that is a great idea on an interior wall where cleanup would be increased and worse yet that the wall get damp long term which may cause mold. I've had my felt grow bags almost adhere to whatever ground they sat on for a month so this can happen with these and I wouldn't want these adhering to an interior wall or even a stucco wall since the paint will be difficult to clean and probably need touching up when removed so not something I would do as a renter. This might be avoided by using a piece of waterproof tarp behind it and all the way under it so the extra water would run down the tarp to the ground (or if indoors maybe put a tray line with pebbles to hold other plants under this. This is what I plan to do when I mount this to my patio wall so that they are close enough to the house that I remember to water them twice or more daily - the good thing about these pots is that it's almost impossible to overwater unless the humidity is very high because the excess water will run through the fabric and air circulation should allow the soil to not stay too wet to weaken the roots. I'm also not sure how clean of a look this will be for long since some of my grow bags do get green growing on the outside of them near the bottom where they are damp the longest. I can't predict if this will happen with these or not since they hang but it could happen towards the back panel where there is the least circulation if it is hung against a wall or solid fence especially if using a tarp. I would not hang this against a wooden fence because of the moisture of this being in constant contact with the fence could cause damage. This probably would work great to cover up a chain link fence and in that application drip irrigation could be used. Writing that just gave me an idea that I may possibly put this on an old chain link gate that I could add to my garden for vertical interest and that would allow this to take advantage of any rainfall and have air circulation from all sides so maybe I can add a drip irrigation to it at every other level since the excess from one level would run off to water the one below it. This way I have no concern for my walls. This is probably the best usage for me so I'm not schedule bound to have to hand water this twice daily and no concern for my walls being damaged.
