着離岸、係留の方法で風や潮の方向の違いによってどうのように操作したら良いか良く分かる、図に風向や潮流がわかり易く入っている。悪天候の高波の中での安全な航行方法やサバイバルについても説明がある。平易な英語で書かれているので、読みやすい。もっとも、図が多いので、本文を読まなくても分かる部分が多いのも良い。
