I know. At first, the concept seems laughable: zipping yourself up in the equivalent of a giant North Face coat just to work up a sweat. But necessity is the mother of invention, and this item was obviously developed by someone with a need for an available sauna at home with a minimum space requirement. Very happy with this purchase. Setup takes a minute, and the first time you use the steamer, it takes a while to heat up, but all in all, for the money, I am more than happy. I do not use the chair, but rather sit cross-legged on the floor completely inside the unit. I worked up quite a sweat, and maxed out at 20 minutes. As someone who has used commercial steam rooms and saunas in gyms and fitness centres all over the world, I found this item beyond adequate for an inexpensive, at-home unit. If it lasts a year, it will have more than paid for itself in gym and transportation fees. I will add, my curved poles that comprise the front of the unit were too large, and that caused the bottom left corner to tear, but with care, it shouldn't get any bigger and won't be a problem. For the money, you should go ahead and try it. I kept it in my wish list for two years, and now wish I'd just gone ahead and gotten it back then.UPDATE AUGUST 2017:Item lasted almost two years with near daily use. All in all, I am very happy I purchased this. Obvs, things aren't meant to last forever, and I think two years is a good run. I replaced it with this item: Replacement was infinitely easier to assemble, as the poles were hinged and already put together. The Evaporator is more user-friendly as well, as the lid is not held in place with metal pins, but rather simply twists into place. The only thing I would suggest is you let the tent air out before first use as it has a strong plastic-y smell. I love the fact that I have my own personal sauna in my home. My hair and skin absolutely love this thing. My dog even get in and sit with me for a spell. I don't use the chair. I put a towel on the floor to catch the water that accumulates, add some essential oils to the steamer and relax. This is a God send. Too bad my 6'7 husband can't sit in it with me and get rushed out if he stays too long. I luv, luv, luv my sauna.

Have use several times with nice results. Figured out how to use by reading some reviews as there aren't any instructions. Worth the money. Does a good job. I place a towel around my neck to keep the steam sealed in at the neck. Also use a container for dripping steam water on the inside and place a towel on the floor under the chair inside and a towel out underneath the unit, just in case. Happy steaming :o)

I used this product for the first time today. When I first got it I set it up to test it. The remote did not work and still does not work and the direction were very vague. I was going to send it back but got an email on how to get the thing to steam and then it worked fine. The chair is not for an adult either.

When I received the sauna I could not get the steam machine to work I contacted the seller and he explained it to me what I should do I still cannot get the sonic to work so I contacted the seller again and he explained to me again what I should do this time I did it and it does work I used it today for the first time it's a wonderful wonderful Sonna my husband got into it too and he's quite pleased thank you so much for this product, I will tell my family and my friends about this it's a wonderful experience if you haven't tried it before give this one a try it truly opened your pores in your body cleanses your all the pours out makes you feel very relaxed I have a very bad chronic pain back and it helps relieve my back as well as my neuropathy in my feet thank you again

Once I figured out how to use this....I freakin love it!!!! I like using this with eucalyptus oil for my sinuses.. With lavender oil at night... To sleep.... This will relax you like nothing else.... Great investment!

We use this with an ozone machine that I purchased on Amazon. It does a wonderful job of cleansing. The ozone-steam cabinets are so large and expensive. This fits our needs better than a larger unit would.

Easy up and down when you want to get your sweat on. I made a cross support for the front as the pvc starts to lose rigidity after some use. Overall great find and advise keeping cold water very near.
