Awesome product

My new favourite gadget, the Amazon Basics kettle heats up instantly, is super easy to use with a single switch to use, and great value for money. It is well insulated, and even when the water inside is fully heated the outside remains cool to touch, and the spout is well designed for a smooth, easy pour. The base has a rubberised bottom that prevents it from slipping as well, and the large capacity means that you can make around four or five cups of tea at one go. The only thing I don’t like is the cord length - it’s not a dealbreaker by any means but the cord is quite short, so you might not be able to keep it wherever you want. Had to make some space next to my microwave and keep swapping the plugs, because the plug doesn’t reach the other 15A point in my kitchen.

Overall it’s a great flask. We moved from a smaller one to this and hot water consumption has gone up in our household. Boon, especially in winters. Pros: 1. The plain black design is attractive and sits well in any kitchen. 2. Outer shell does not get hot and protects your hands from accidental burns. 3. Wide mouth lid for easy cleaning 4. Closing mechanism is sensitive and one touch. though it doubt the spring loaded mechanism will last (this may turn into a con later.) Cons: 1. If you fill up(even below the max line), water boils and spouts out leaking into the electrical base and sometimes floods your kitchen counter. Ideally do not fill more than 5 inches from the top for complete boiling to avoid this. Major flaw and reduces the max capacity of this kettle to around 1.3 liters. Cord length is around 3 feet but it seems we cannot expect it to get much bigger than this with any kettle brand so can’t really classify as a con. Overall a good product to have at home provided you don’t expect to use it beyond 75% capacity. If your requirements are higher, look elsewhere.

Disappointed – Stopped Working in Just 40 Days I purchased the Amazon Basics Electric Kettle 1400 Watts, 1.8L with Auto-Shut Off expecting reliable performance, but unfortunately, it stopped working within just 40 days of use. For such a basic appliance, I was hoping for durability, but this was a huge letdown. The kettle initially worked fine, but soon after, it completely stopped heating water. Considering this is an everyday-use product, its failure in such a short time is frustrating and raises serious concerns about build quality and reliability. I would not recommend this product to anyone looking for a long-lasting kettle. Better to spend a little more and get something dependable.

Been using it for more than a month on a daily basis, no hassle whatsoever device. heats water within 2 mins and has auto safety as well. Needs a 15A plug but the wattage and the heating time justifies the need for this power grab. Only gripe is it couldve had a closing cap on the V outlet other than that its best heating device which gives a fairly quick run for the money. Got it off a deal so worth every penny.

Its appears well finished, and a high quality item - double walled as described, no leaching so far. Boils quickly - and with any other electrical item, the cleaner one's power supply is, the longer I expect it to last. Fingers crossed its at least 3 to 5yrs. Doesnt have a level finder, or look through glass - which for me is not that important. So no biggie. Has the larger 16A plug - which is also no issue, prevents overheating of the cable but something to be aware of, in case you dont have such an outlet or a power extension. Will submit follow up yearly. Its been 6/7 months since purchase - its been working flawlessly, the power supply is clean here so that helps. Recommended to buy.

I’ve been using this product for almost two years, and I can honestly say it’s been great—no issues whatsoever. Overall, I’m still very happy with it and would recommend it to others!
