After an unexpected breakup, my sister lent me her copy of this book. I couldn’t read the title without crying. Poem by poem, I read through this. It is a short book and has a variety of poems. I ended up buying my own copy so I could write notes inside it. I read the whole thing at first which I don’t know if that was the purpose. During the beginning stages of the breakup, I read a lot of the beginning parts and I’m now gravitating towards the end poems. Seriously a beautiful collection. It helped me through the breakup I thought I wouldn’t recover from. Very good read - it can be emotional if you are raw, but it really was a great guide to coming back to myself.

I can’t say I’m actively going through what the book was portraying, but there are some amazing messages for anyone throughout.

I never had read a poetry book. This was my first. I just was trying to see the world from a different perspective: poetry. Well, this writer made me feel as a baby or teenager's heart. This book could be good , especially for someone who is still living love experience. I liked it, but it is not my thing. Just trying.

this resonated in platonic, romantic, and familial relationships. fair warning, you will bawl your eyes out, but you will feel so much better afterwards.

The book was okay and had a lot of good poems, but it didn’t hold my attention as much as other books have in the past.

Good read when you’re feeling low

I said it! I think it's better than milk and honey because of the simple fact of it being a little bit more relatable to a more vast audience. I'm going through a long-term relationship break up right now and I have related to this poetry book more than any that I bought aside from ' she's strong but tired '. If you want a poetry book that speaks to you when your heart broken. Get this. It's not too over-dramatic and it's not too over-the-top. It's beautifully written, relatable and it's also not too too sad where you feel sad reading it but you just feel the words because you've been through what the writer has written. I can't wait till this author puts out more poetry books and if they have already, I'm getting them!

This is the first time I've ever written an amazon review but I just had to come on and say how much I enjoyed reading this. Anyone going through a hard time or experiencing heartbreak right now - I guarantee this will soothe your soul and make you feel so much better. It did for me. xx

I had a few heartbreaks myself. And some issues with myself. And I could really resonate with this. Her writing style is lovely. I like a certain writing style and she can easily be compared with Amanda Lovelace, Nikita Gill, Wilder Poetry, Alfa etc. Definitely worth reading.
