Loved it. Walker does it again!
Loving the Oddlode series and this book was no exception. Downright saucy and scandalous at times, yet sweet at others and always satisfying. This book has far too many negative reviews that I feel are unjust, whilst this may not be my favourite of Fiona's books I can truly say it was a thrilling, enjoyable read. I have grown to love the characters in this funny little town, flaws and all, Fiona's fans tend to pit her books against each other and obviously 'go-in' with certain expectations. This isn't really the way to do it. Get the book, get a cup of tea and a cozy chair and read with a blank mind for pleasure, and Fiona's beautiful descriptive language and loveable characters will draw you in.

Can't fault any of Fiona walkers books. I have all if them and I have read them time and time again

Not bad
I found these a bit dated now. Not quite my cup of tea. They revolve round a village which has complicated names.

An excellent 5* read
A very well written novel, perfectly true, and beautifully captured, a first choice recommendation. Has made me stay to read some of her other books.

okay but not much better
The oddlode triology starts well with book one, goes downhill with book two and recovers ground with this third book. Dilly and Magnus are likeable and you want them to get together but for my taste there wasn't enough actual romance in this book.
