Amazing case
Added pictures with the WaveShare dual M2The only cons for me are the upper lips, that will get in the way if you plan to stack anything like a screen or any HAT board

Far superior to the official case
This product is far superior to the official case. It accommodates the geekworm NVMe adapter as well. It can accommodate the official cooler. It's well built out of solid metal. Looks great and is vented to allow a massive amount of passive cooling. It should be a fairly simple thing to just drop a fan on the top of this to help pull the air through. There's loads of events for it to get through. Assembly was relatively straightforward. It is fairly self-evident how it should be assembled. I really appreciate the standoffs that raise the pie above the case and still leave room for everything else that needs to go inside. I also love that the power switch is readily accessible and that the power light from the pi itself and the NVME adapter busy light are very visible. In summary, this case is an excellent price, it's well designed, looks great and I'm extremely happy to have it to replace the official case that I was given that simply couldn't accommodate the geekworm NVMe adapter and really didn't do what was needed

X1001 + P579 metal case = solid setup!
With the rush of companies trying to beat the market for products leveraging the rpi5's PCIe connector, I was skeptical but did quite a bit of research and decided on the P579 & X1001 combo. The only two [minor] cons for me were (1) having to completely remove the rpi5 from the case to access the screw securing the nvme drive, and (2) that the micro SD card protrudes approx. 0.78mm from the case when fully seated, which is not ideal to protect it. In the case of the nvme screw, adding a u-shaped cut to the design in that area and perhaps a shorter lip bend along the nvme (towards the HDMI side of the case) would have easily fixed it. Having said that, for my use case, these negatives are practically non-issues as I don't plan to use the SD card nor remove the nvme often. I also wanted to share pictures of the clearances using the X1001 with a 2280 drive and a 70x20x3mm MECCANIXITY heatsink (graphene coated copper). See annotated pictures. I've been tinkering with rpis for years and needless to say this setup is my favorite--highly recommended!

This is a Very Good Case
Overall, this is an excellent case. The only things I would add would be screws in the tab area on the top of the case, above the activity LED and start pushbutton, (See Pic). I would also add a fan, as I have done, which adds air flow to the Pi Active Heat Sink. This has decreased the running temperature of the Pi by over 15 degrees C.

Holds X1001 hat and official PI active cooler (fan)
Solidly constructed, holes line-up great, comes with all necessary fasteners such as stand-offs. Specifically including the fasteners needed to accomodate the X1001 hat.My only gripe is the NVMe cannot be removed/inserted while the whole assembly is installed in the case, the drive does not clear a flange on the top. Kind of silly they built it this way, but it is not really an issue unless you need to be swapping drives.
