Once your cat starts drinking from a fountain, he/she will refuse to go back to the bowl. These filters are a cat Mom's must have! They are cheap enough to buy in bulk and easy enough to change (process of cleaning the rest of the bowl however, very time consuming) that they truly keep your pet in great health.

I change the filter in my Kitty’s fountain at least once a month. I rinse it out good mid month & add fresh water.

These aren't as nice as the filters I used to be able to get from Fosters and Smith for my ceramic F&S cat fountain, but they get the job done. They do have a lot more charcoal dust and particulates, so I recommend flushing them with water and soaking them in a small container of water before use so all of the dust and small pieces fall out before going into use.Because I'm cheap, I tend to sanitize them with boiling water once a week when I clean the cat fountain to get a few extra weeks out of them. Doing this I've found I can reuse them for about a month instead of the old 2 weeks.

I like these filters. They are easy to replace in the Pioneer water fountain, and if I keep the bowl clean, the filter lasts for 30 days.

The replacement filter pack for my pet fountain has me questioning the convenience of the subscription model. While the filters do their job well, the hassle of the subscription and the cost add up. It's become a bit of a love-hate relationship with the entire filter system. The quality is good, but the subscription aspect has me contemplating alternatives. A solid choice for pet hydration, but the inconvenience of the subscription model is a drawback to consider.
