Some History-I own a capture card,2-capture boxes, 2 Down loads for DVD video transfer... But this KingMA IS KING.. For my DVDs I use a LG BP175 which has a 1080 upscaler processor thru a HDMI cable to the Kingma recorder, in the Kingma I use an Amazon choice 16GB TF card (which holds approx. 3hrs of 1920x1080 video content) at that point I Use a generic card reader which transfers to my Apple Desk tops /or lap tops...because of the upscaling ability of the player/kingma comb. (and some trial/error on tint/color/contrast etc. my end videos are AWESOME! I monitor the process thru a 25' TV on my dining rm table set-up, end result is better than the original... again 10 STARS.

This unit hits way above its weight class. Honestly, I’m kinda surprised you get a get a unit like this anymore.It is great for game capture from just about any device as another review mentions. That should help content creatures in that space bring up more content from long obsolete platforms.For me personally, I like some theatrical presentations that are either very hard to find in modern formats or that seem to only pop up ever few years on platforms I have access too. This allows you to capture extremely good fidelity personal copies for your private use and enjoyment.The uses of this device really are quite broad. You can capture rare live streams with your kids or others. You can pretty much pull any video you want with it and keep it stored forever for your personal private use. The speed of the unit is pretty much as good as I need for capture anything.The unit performs very well, is really easy to use either directly or with the remote. They’ve even provided the cables you will need, so you are up and recording quickly. The amount of money you’ll save with the unit is hard to fathom. It is a hell of a value for the money.The hidden bonus here is that the whole thing can be taken with you and used remotely due to its ability to operate from Sony camera batteries. Those are about the only thing that is not included.

The media could not be loaded. First thing first, it's not advertised but whatever workaround they have, this is a full blown HDMI bypass as I'm able to display and record protected content for myself.The device is quite polished very high quality build with attention to durability with an excellent LCD display. The LCD display is so good you can play games and the internal preview speaker is so loud I had to turn it down when I was passing it to my TV.On my initial setup I passed the mini HDMI -> HDMI In from a RG35XX handheld unit running retro Sega™ Sonic The Hedgehog and recorded it on medium bit rate which yielded a file of about 9.5kb/s. Quality is really good and the sound is in sync with the recording.2nd test I passed a Fire TV Stick 4k Max running home media server Jellyfin playing trailers and set it to High Bitrate and it created a file of about 11.5 kb/s of moderate to great quality for the file size. The encoding is acceptable for everday usage.The interface has the ability to change things like brightness, contrast, line in level, mic in level, saturation, tint, bitrate, file max size and more. It even has a page for scheduled recording possibly turning it into a DVR. You can store to a SD Card or a Thumbdrive I didn't test portable SSD drive as I wanted to but will update if it doesn't work.The unit comes with a 12v / 1amp power adapter, but you can use Sony F-series camera batteries to make it portable. It can actually be a portable movie player as it has it's own speakers, volume control, and built in media player.I didn't expect every single feature on this device to work so well and the price point made me super critical about it, but this really is as good as it sounds. I highly recommend this capture device over competitors devices for going to the extra mile to have every feature you can think of. Buy it...
