Not just inexpensive -- but superior quality!
I question the problems many people have had with these blanks. I have used them for years, on several different computer burners, and have NEVER had a failure! But I DO have one CAVEAT for buyers: they should work successfully on any computer, but will probably have severe problems and failures on freestanding, audio-component CD burners (these usually require blanks marked "music", such as "SONY CD-R Music", itself a superb product). One more tip: lower your computer burn speed to 4X or 8X; you will have a vastly superior recording with near-zero failures, and keep your laser lens clean. Use a "lens cleaning disc" every i - 2 months if you use your CD drawer a lot. Like the above-mentioned SONY discs, these Verbatims give a superior, accurate, slightly warm and tube-like sound, often better than the original material (yes, I know this is supposedly impossible, but it is verifiable subjectively by listeners)!I have played these discs on various portables, computers, and DVD (Blue-ray) players and have NOT had one hang up in the mechanism as some report, although I can see that the ridges on the disc top MIGHT cause problems with some players. The retro look of old 45's is very clever, and the multiple colors allow you to file by color-coded genre if you desire. The price is INCREDIBLE -- you can usually find them on sale, cheaper than "garbage" brands like Memorex. LIKE ALL VERBATIM PRODUCTS -- THESE ARE CLEARLY SUPERIOR!

Not just another voice, I hope
It looks like many people feel the same as I do about these great discs. I didn't read them all, and though I may not be unique, I want to share my experience.I now by cardboard sleeves for my blanks (I HATE JEWEL CASES) and dress them up with either album art or art of my choosing. My major point here is that I am going Low-Tech. I have laptops and iPods galore, but I want to get away from point and click. Often I find myself not listening to a whole song before clicking on the next gem.I love buying digitally. My Amazon bill will vouch for that. So, now I download my purchases and burn them to these fun CD's, that even have LP like grooves on them. I want to listen to a Sinatra Concept album, Larry Ching, or Bobby Darin, and others the way the LPs were put together and meant to be listened to. Once I add it to my shelf, I can load it into a small CD Player next to my lamp and stuffy chair. It's like putting on an LP. I can sit back, read, relax, and... you got it. I did tech out on one thing. I bought a CD player that plays MP3 CD's and also AM/FM so I can listen to my stuff like the old days. I use these discs for MP3 CDs as well. I already have more in my basket. Let's keep Verbatim pumping these things out!

45 RPM or CD? Look Close Nostalgia is Looking at You!
Great product for a little nostalgia. Take a walk back through your younger years and enjoy this realistic version of the old 45 RPM records of the past. A little pricey but I like the product for all the vintage looks it give. You must think about a 'silver' marker to write on the black area of the CD. There is space to write on the center hub area with ink pen if you need to enter info for future reference. This is a 'Data' CD so don't look to burn this on your CD recorder, it won't happen. If you are looking for 'Music' CDs this is not it. It of course burns fine on your computer. I know your friends will love the nostalgia and the vintage look. Have fun and enjoy those by gone days on CD data discs.

cool but not audio CDs
this vinyl look is very cool ... they look like 45s or mini LPs ... and they seem to play (played so far in car CD player and Sony boom box) great as far as burning music on them byway of computer (iTunes etc.) ... but they are not blank audio CDs as far as using them with a stereo component CD burner ... likely for most folks that's not an issue ... but occasionally I still use my stereo component burner and popped one of these in it and it told me it was not an audio CD ... wish Verbatim would make the 'digital vinyl' in the audio CD format ... maybe they do .... I just could not find it as of this writing ... if I was burning just using my macbook I would give this product FIVE stars ... I've been using Sony audio CDs and they seem to be very good ... again the vinyl of the look Verbatims is really awesome ... lastly, I guess I'm just old school (because I am getting on in years (nearly 62 believe thats too much information to share here but) I love making mix "CD" tapes ... been doing it since the days of having a reel-to-reel tape recorder as a teenager in the 1960s ... of course those were not very share-friendly ... so when cassettes came along I was in heaven and then burnable CDs ... but I know all of that is going out the window ... I like to put my hands on things ... a shared playlist on Spotify or whatever just doesn't do it for me ... i know (who gives a f...)

Very Retro, Very Unique Look
I received this on time and the item is exactly as pictured. The discs are five different colors, and the label is very easy to mark with a black fine line permanent marker. I have never had any problem burning audio CDs with this product. I think maybe some of the reviewers here burned wma tracks instead, which some boomboxes won't play. I had that problem until I realized that the music needed to be converted to mp3. There are plenty of free software packages available online that will solve that problem.I highly recommend this product. My only complaint is that there could be more discs in the spindle, like 50 or 75, with more retro record label designs. Other than that, this item is perfect. Wouldn't hesitate to buy another one.
