GFTVRCE VR Headband Strap Replacement for HTC Vive VR Headset Accessories Head Soft Holder, V0049

I have had my Vive since 2016 and have put a lot of hours on the original strap. I decided I was long overdue for a replacement and this was the only one I could find. There was only one actual review with any thoughts on the product, so I was leery, but I decided to go for it. The strap is comfortable, almost as comfortable as the original, but not quite. The fabric is a little stiffer and bulkier. Other than that it is fine. The headset finally fits snug against my head again. The old one was loose from use. It moved around and I had some light bleed because the nose cushion had long since worn away. I have the wireless adapter, so I was able to get everything setup with that. I made the mistake of not paying attention to how the old one was on there, and the lengths of the straps, so it took a few minutes to figure out how to get it setup right. Make sure to take a look at the lengths you have everything set at, and how the wireless adapter goes on, before taking your old one off.

Not for big heads. Honestly was so tight cuz of the stretchy band in the back. I had to hand stretch and then replace the band so its longer. would not recommend unless you are a child with a smaller head.

Definitely nice to see some parts still being made for such an old platform. Especially the wear items. Not a 1 to 1 of the original but its things like the rear of the strap not being as stiff and the ends on the straps being stitched on faux leather instead of the molded plastic. But honestly how often are you gonna mess with those?

I had no idea how bad my old one was until I got this replacement. Works great. Solid fit.
