This pen is very well made. It’s made of metal, so it’s got some weight to it, feels good in the hand, and is a compliment magnet. I don’t have much need for tons of pens, so I usually try to find a nice one and carry it every day instead of buying the large packs of cheap plastic pens. Obviously it’s a pen, so the most important part it writes smoothly, and it does. The included ink cartridge is good, and seems to be lasting for quite a while. You won’t be disappointed with this pen.

A tank of a pen. It's well made and it writes well. The best part? You can use Fisher space pen refills in this pen. It's a normal sized pen, so you don't feel like you're using a child's writing instrument.

The weight of this pen is its strongest point. Great feel in the hand. I switched the ball point to gel refills and it’s been working great.

The Rotring 600 is an awesome pen for all the reasons others have mentioned. It's a high quality body, with strikingly simple, yet interesting look. It's slim and relatively small, which evokes its reputation as a precision writing instrument. The brass construction gives it some serious heft for its size. The click is robust and the cap is lightly spring-loaded, adding to the sturdy feel. One thing that just doesn't add up to me is why a pen built around precision comes with an unimpressive and unwieldy 1.0mm ballpoint refill. Aside from being a somewhat bold tip, the ink doesn't flow easily, and the consistency of ink delivery is highly dependent on writing pressure. Interestingly, Uni offers their Jetstream Edge with either a 0.28mm or 0.38mm hydrid refill. It's a pen that clearly takes a lot of its inspiration from the Rotring 600, but really hammers home the concept of precision writing. That's sort of an extreme counterexample, but I think the 600 is much better served by a 0.7mm or 0.5mm tip, and a more modern ink formulation. Overall I love the pen. The heft, form factor, and finish make it a joy to use, and I think for the ~$25 price point you can get it for here, it's a solid purchase. Just be prepared to swap out the stock refill for something a little more befitting of the pen's precision heritage.

Je viens de recevoir mon rotring 600 avec cartouche noire, bien protégé dans son étui carton + carton Amazon. Pas de casse, car le métal c'est fragile au chocs et marque facilement! Impeccable. Merci beaucoup. Utilisé surtout pour les courriers administratifs, les envois de chèques, de recommandés, de suivis, etc., car il faut écrire lisiblement en noir et impressionner le "carbone" qui est derrière le bordereau.

Excellent writing instrument

Absolut toller Kugelschreiber! Mit meiner Affinität zu hochwertigem Schreibzeug bin wirklich begeistert von diesem Kugelschreiber. Das schlanke Design mit der mittigen Gewichtsverteilung liegen perfekt in der Hand. Die Verarbeitung und Materialien sind Top und gerade durch das Griffstück vorne mit der "Riffelung" lässt sich der Kugelschreiber ausgezeichnet führen. Der Druckmechanismus ist ebenfalls ausgezeichnet gearbeitet, das Geräusch hat beinahe einen Wiedererkennungswert wie das Klicken beim Öffnen eines Zippos! Das ist ein Kugelschreiber den man nach dem Verleihen wieder zurück verlangt!

This is the BEST PEN I HAVE EVER USED!!!! While its construction is aluminum, it manages to still be extremely light and perfectly balanced. Tolerances are perfect. No rattling during use. It's basically sealed up when not in use. And the button sounds amazing.

This pen is exactly what you need if you write a lot. It's durable, feels premium, and it's definitely going to hold out through the years! Highly recommend this one!
