don't apply too much pressure. Battery lasts a long time which was surprising.
This is great little sander for very fine detail and accessing tight areas. I used it to smooth out a wooden mahogany sign I made with my CNC Router where there were small areas needing corrections. The sandpaper isn't the best quality or quantity so I ended up making my own with two sided tape and of different grits. This actually worked out great and made the task even easier.

Good tool
Easy to use and very precise.

Less suitable for fine woodworking
This is a fine product for small projects like model airplane-size work. The heads are fingernail size, so keep in mind on your project. Sanding is not strong, but I did find it useful to eliminate some pencil lines close to edges. I don’t see the purpose of having programmable colored lights on the handle. Maybe because sanding it’s drudgery. I was working with walnut hardwood. More suited to balsa. Well built, excellent case, good selection of tiny precuts with sticky back.

Not a good sander
Very poor sander. Despite being only a slightly lower price than other pen sanders on Amazon this pen is much weaker than others. It has a very weak motor that can’t handle even the smallest amount of pressure and the sanding pads that come with the device are very poor and wear out extremely fast.

Nice tool
The sander looks to be well made and comes in a beautiful package with several sets of heads and bunch of sanding abrasives. I does a nice job of sanding and this might be me and learning to use the tool but a couple of times the sanding attachment popped off during sanding. The reason for the 3 stars is the tool does not hold a charge over1 day in my case, when I received it, it had no charge, so I plugged it in, and it received a full charge the next day when I went to use it there was no battery left and it was never used. I charged it up and it worked for all the sanding I need it for but the next day it was dead again. I probably should have returned it, but I have been using it. Update: after some thought I returned the sander and it was replaced immediately. The new sander came fully charged and has held the charge overnight. I do like the sander, makes getting into tight places easy. Will make building resin printed kits easier to prep.

Mediocre for sanding PLA prints - motor is a little weak
For the purposes of sanding lots of details on PLA+ 3d prints, this tool is a little underpowered. It can sand any primer/filler applied, but the little motor will struggle if you try to apply a normal amount of pressure expected for PLA sanding. It's perfectly capable if you just want to wear down a couple imperfections, but I find that it is too laborious to smooth out details on an entire assembly.

Misunderstood purpose, it’s actually GREAT!!
This thing is great! But let me first address the misconceptions that people leaving reviews seem to have about this sander: It is a modeling tool designed for and used by mainly Gundam modelers… which means that it is useful for anybody modeling small plastic or similar material models… it’s not meant for wood, metal, or high volume/large object sanding! People don’t research what they buy, apparently. Don’t go looking for a hammer and buy a wooden bat, basically. For its intended purpose, this thing is amazing! It has plenty enough power and ability to do what it was designed for!! Don’t hesitate to grab one if you are working on the materials it was designed for… I myself build Warhammer, and this sander makes it SO much faster and doesn’t risk over-doing-it and damaging my expensive pieces!!

Well built
This is a pretty solid feeling sander. It was surprising at how well it works. Obviously, you shouldn't press too hard and stall the motor, but it was designed for models and other light sanding. So far, I haven't needed to recharge it, total so far use has been several hours. The self-adhesive pad has stayed put.

As advertised and on time.

I bought this to smooth 3d printed parts and balsa parts. Absolutely useless for this, as it has no power. Apply any pressure and it stops sanding. It would be suitable for very soft substances. The bits are very small so can get into narrow spaces.

Absolute piece of garbage. Any pressure at all and it comes to a stop, even on the fastest setting. Tried to use it for 2 minutes and then packaged it back up to return it
