Good printer for the price, but: 1. Don't expect standard- or laser-quality print quality; 2. Be aware that to print from a PC or mac, a wired connection is required (bluetooth connection doesn't work). 3. You should use the cable supplied with the printer to charge and/or print.

Phomemo M08F is a wireless, portable, battery operated thermal printer. The main difference between this printer an a regular desktop unit is the fact that this one requires special thermal paper in order to work. It will not print on a regular laser/inkjet paper at all. The thermal paper is available in various forms - from rolls, similar to the paper used on older fax machines to regular cut pages. This particular printer is compatible with Letter sized pages, but be aware if buying a similar model from another listing as some of them are set up for European A4 paper which is narrower, and these units will not take Letter. I really like the portability of this printer. Since it's battery operated, you can easily take it on the road and have an easy portable office setup. What I don't like all that much is the print quality. The resolution of this printer is really quite poor, and is much closer to a fax print from several years ago than an output form a modern laser or inkjet printer. Larger text is perfectly legible, but very small fonts won't print clearly. Photos/pictures are also not a strong point for this printer (but that's the case for all thermal printers). In general the output is perfectly fine for regular office use, but I wouldn't consider it for submitting important documents. Definitely suitable for printing work orders, invoices, drafts, just be aware that the print quality is not great. The printer doesn't require any ink or toner, but the special thermal paper is significantly more expensive than regular office paper. It all kind of evens out in terms of cost. Overall, if you want a small, reliable printer for the road, and mostly print text documents, then this is a really solid choice. If you require high quality printouts, then this one is not for you.

Setting up this printer is easy, I have had no problems with the wireless connection, it works well for simple images like tattoo sketches and documents, especially with the recommended thermal paper. Connecting it is usually straightforward, though the app can occasionally be a bit tricky. Still, the printer is easy to manage. It's well-built and sturdy, though not made for extreme conditions, I wouldn't drop it to test it. It's also lightweight, so you can easily carry it in a backpack. The included extras, like the storage bag and sheets, are a nice bonus, even though there's not a lot of them. However, there are a couple of drawbacks to note. The paper size is a bit smaller and less common than the standard letter size, which might be an issue. Also, there's no adjustable paper guide, which can make inserting the paper a bit difficult. Despite these issues, the printer does its job well. The battery life is good enough for urgent tasks that need the internal battery and it also works well if it stays connected all the time. With a modern design and an easy-to-use interface, it's a reliable printer overall.
