Just bought a Imagine 2800BH Travel Trailer and the 40lb struts couldn't keep my 10in upgraded mattress up to access the under bed storage. I doubled the strength to 80lb and it works very well. I needed a screw driver for the original clips and tin snipes to cut through the strap bands that compress the new struts during shipping. You will also want a pair of gloves while cutting it.

I used these to replace the originals on my 2003 mini Winnebago I bought it used and one was bent. After I screwed down the back side of the bed board to anchor the bed, they worked great and supported the weight of the bed mattress, and board it laid on, and easy for the wife to lift to get to storage. Make sure you try and identify using the original part number so you get the proper stroke and weight needed.

Easy install, they hold the doors on the truck cap open as expected.

October, 2024. This is on a Leer topper, it is fiberglass heavy, the struts removed were rated at 38 lbs. Very easy replacement using a small common screwdriver to remove old ones.The barrel on these struts are smaller than the ones removed. Appears well made and lifting strength is very good, the window now swings upward quickly. Measurements were as stated. Following replacement advise that you keep a hand on it to control the lifting force and closing action to prevent possible damage to connections. Once open it stays open without any movement downward. As a just installed product time will tell how well these will continue to function.

Misplaced two struts when I removed Diamondback bed cover…eaten by the garage monster. These struts replaced the missing struts perfectly. A little persuasion with a dead blow hammer and these when in easily. Door lifts as designed.

I received these and assembled them and thought they were stuck wide open because they wouldn't compress at all. I tried to do the job myself and it was too difficult because I had no solid way to support the liftgate glass. I tried using my head to hold the lift glass, but it wasn't working. I decided to use my head again and I waited until the wife came home and we had them on in 5 minutes and they work perfectly! Teamwork makes the dream work once again!
