Pearl Compact Traveler Drum Kit PCTK-1810

What I needed and it sounds great compact easy to carry

Awesome as a bedroom producer that’s restricted by the confinement of space, I find this to be an invaluable instrument. To my ears the bass drum sounds like any bass drum a reputable drum Manufacturer has made. The snare albeit diminutive in size can crack like a piccolo snare or be tightened down to a hollow Tom, In use the framework that encompasses the kit is very sturdy and will allow you to add other accessories like high hat etc/ride. Remarkably, when you fold this away the width of the kit’s less than 10 inches wide. I would have submitted full marks if the Nylon travel bag was included within the purchase price. Apart from that a must buy for someone who needs a drum kit but does not have the space to facilitate a full scale one!

Don't be fooled, this packs a punch for the size. It is loud...my neighbours said so! Generally decent sounding, snare wire can sound a bit tinny/buzzy so you have to tweak as you tune. I like the bass drum more than the snare for this reason. Drum heads are decent and overall nice compact kit. Handy if you don't have space for full kit but I wish was a little cheaper.

Great piece of kit! I got fed up with lugging a large base drum around and this unit really packs a compact punch! I will say though, once set up and you're playing, due to its lightness, it does have a tendancy to shift position slightly. You either need to tape it to the stage or, put something heavy infront of it. But it's a small issue for a great product - I advise purchasing the associated case as well as on it's own, it is vunerable to knocks etc.

I purchased this as I needed a compact and portable drum kit for acoustic gigs. For a couple of single skin drums it didn’t look particularly good value but when It arrived I was very pleasantly surprised. The kit is very sturdy and well made and, after a bit of tuning, produces good tones from both the bass and snare drum. While it doesn’t match the loudness of a bigger drumkit it is capable of a good level of volume. Loud enough for outdoor performances and medium size halls (100+ seat capacity). As the kit is being regularly transported around in the back of my car I have also bought the dedicated bag which is also well designed and made.

Cool and fun

kompakt aber mit tollem Klang, mit hervorragenden Materialien gebaut. kompakt, perfekt für alle mit wenig Platz.

So for what it is, it’s really good. Is it a 40’s era Radio King? No, but for something that folds up and travels, pretty darn good. There is a narrow range of snare tension where it doesn’t buzz, but dial that in and the snare sounds great. Had an Arbiter Flat 12 inch I use for a ride tom and Pearl Fat & Skinny 14 inch used for a floor tom. Small but really really fun. And the Compact Traveler drums sound very good for what they are. And they are the smallest easy to carry drums that sound good and have a fun factor that is off the charts. You have to buy in to what it is, and if you do you will love it too.

Suono occasionalmente in acustico, molto vicino all'artista di strada e questo travel set era esattamente quello che cercavo. Non fatevi ingannare dalla foto di amazon, il set è composto solamente dalla grancassa e dal piccolo rullante, i pedali e i piatti dovete averli voi. Per me assolutamente perfetta.

Très bonne petite batterie hybride, montage et démontage pratique et sonore acoustique ou mieux avec reprise micro. Attention cependant la caisse clair la visse papillon permettant de régler le timbre se relâche tout le temps. Pour y remédier mettre un contre écrou à "frein" et serré correctement sans forcer. Il faut absolument le faire autrement à force de serré perpétuellement .. La patte métallique en forme de "L" risque de se briser et la c'est fichu,car à ce niveau Pearl n'a pas prévu de pièces de rechange.
