The instrument is light in weight and does function. It is easy to use and appears durable. However, the LCD display is quite obviously not centered in the display window, so the right side where the battery indicator, current and cumulative data is displayed is partially obscured.Also, the battery status drops from mostly green to red in a non-linear fashion. Most of the (power) display was green and a half hour later the device shut down for lack of power.I didn't buy the most inexpensive detector because I hoped that the $60 device would have a better quality build than the less expensive devices. While I didn't expect the product to be of the quality/durability of a $700 Canberra product, I did expect it would be better than what arrived. Will try again.

This radiation detector is reliable for measuring radiation. It’s interface is user friendly, which makes it easy to use. The sensitivity of this detector is pretty impressive.It is also really durable for being as portable as it is, I can easily carry it around in a pocket
