Enjoyable but predictable
I enjoyed the book and found it a welcome change to other recently read thrillers. However I had sussed out the set up of the story long before the end.

Story Full of secrets. lies and self preservation
Well written, as always, this story is full of secrets, lies and self-preservation.The characters are interesting, well developed and richly drawn in this intriguing novel.Lizzie and Owen are engaged after a whirlwind relationship in Dubai. Unforeseen circumstances lead them to stay with Lizzie’s mum for a short break. Lizzie has trust issues with her mum which stem back to her younger self.Even though the plot is a little implausible, it’s so well written and well executed that it gripped me and I needed to know what was happening.Extremely entertaining writing it kept me hooked and turning pages way past bedtime.Overall this was well written and totally immersive and at times totally intriguing. Many thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley UK for the ARC.

A Who-Did-It Novel
This is my first Hayes novel. I was hooked from the first page. It was definitely a page turner; thinking you knew who the criminal was, only to change your mind a few pages later.

Nail biting story
Lovely book. From start to end not much was revealed about the murderer, but the true murderer shocked me. Owen and Lizzie are lovers getting married soon. Lizzie is pregnant too. Their mom had a chill look and a very internal complicated person, while her dad is in the asylum proving he is fine. Shelley eldest sister who lost her fiancé on day of marriage lives with grief. Amidst all these Liz finds a proof near her sister fiance dead body thinking mom is the murderer. Lots of things, friends like Jared and Peter characters, creepy issues, past situations, along with Danny death investigation story completes with a shocking twist. Excellently written. Must read book.
