It really does work but...
I've been using the Arccos ecosystem since the beginning of the year and it has been a gamechanger. The only problem with Arccos is the fact that you have to use your phones microphone to hear the shot. No big deal right? Well in order for it to hear the shot, you need to have your phone in your lead front pocket (my left pocket). If you don't mind that, then you definitely don't need this product.I however, HATE having my phone in my pocket while I golf. I used to use my Apple Watch but because it is an older model it would die about 12 holes into the round. So insert the Link Pro. You put it in your lead pocket like you would your phone, play a round of golf with it (and for me wearing my watch to tell the distances), and put it back in the charging case where it can recharge and you won't have to recharge the entire thing for the very least 4-8 rounds (my testing).Only gripe with this device is sometimes (on cloudy days) it struggles with the GPS/Satellite signals. Other then that this was a great buy for the price and I couldn't be happier.

Arccos response
I had previously had issues. I reached out to Arccos. After a couple of days they returned my email with some trouble shooting steps that resolved my problems. Very appreciative.

LOVE this Arccos accessory. tiny. no need to carry phone
If you're looking to improve your golf game, Arccos is absolutely awesome. The Caddie app is great. Provides great insight and coaching. The Arccos Link Pro let's me keep my phone in the cart, and not in my pocket. It's tiny, feels like a couple of match packs. Impressed by how accurately this tracks shots, might have missed 1 in my 3 rounds last week. but get used to marking & validating.this Link Pro comes with a battery container, that holds the link when not in use, and recharges it. Really cool design. I used my Link 3 rounds last week without even putting it in this base.Love my Arccos Smart Sensors even more with this new Link Pro

Good idea but not there yet
The Link is not there yet. I have been using my Apple Watch, which works 85% of the time (only missing Putts here and there), but my battery was dying out mid-round. I have an older Apple Watch and decided to give the Link a try because I don't want to spend money on a new watch when this one works just fine, except when I use it to track shots. The Link is not very good; it was bricked when I first got it, and I had to fix that. Apparently, this is a common problem, as a wealth of online information is available. However, the only way to correct the issue is to let it completely die, which takes at least 24 hours. I used it for one round of golf, and it failed to capture a single putt. I had to remember to input each putt manually (that's a lot of putts with my game). Then took it home, charged it up, and put it in my bag. Yesterday, I pulled it out, and once again, it was bricked. I had to use my watch until it died, then kept my phone in my pocket for the rest of the round. This brick state (won't do anything, turn on, or charge) is a very inconvenient problem because you won't know it's bricked until you pull it out at the golf course. I will be sending the Link back today.

Big upgrade over the Link
I have been an Arccos user for 3 years and have logged over 20,000 shots between my iPhone, Link and Link Pro. 99% of the time the Arccos system records shots quickly and accurately. The benefits of the Link Pro itself is that I don’t have to have my iPhone in my pocket and I don’t have to clip a Link device to my belt (in the Fall, multiple layers inhibited the old style Link from picking up shots) and the battery life is amazing.

Works pretty good at course, will miss some shots
Not perfect but you can get insight on yardages for each club if you accumulate at least 10 rounds. After the first free year they require you to pay about $150 a year to continue learning about your clubs. They do let you continue to use your initial information just can't get new information with our the yearly payment. Good for the rich professional.
