Took this on a week long backcountry canoe trip in Quetico Wilderness Area. Survived very well. Set up was easy. Texting was easy to figure out. THe plan was on the pricey side, but peace of mind was worth it as I had a slight medical issue I was recovering from. Do plan to use again on our next trip. And have friends who have used it and liked it as well.

I can’t recommend this enough, give total peace of mind when my husband is hunting with no service. This year his hunting partners wife went into labor early and because of this we were able to communicate with them and his buddy made it to the hospital before the baby was born.

Very good. Bit of a learning curve for all the excellent features-use then! Only shortfall is “bread crumbs” feature- I didn’t buy this for this useful feature but since this updates its position every 10 min or so- it is useless for tracking back to your start point. Remember that this really an emergency communicator first and foremost- a great “life” insurance policy. Even an interface if you fly planes!

Used on our hike in the national forest. Sent out all our messages and kept them up on our location unless we were under a ton of tree cover.

Useful for deep wood back packing. The subscription can be used as needed.

Got this for our avid hiker grandson! He loves it and it has been very useful for him.

Used it in the remote woods of isle royale last weekend. Worked great. Could stay in touch with family via txt without cell service. Highly recommend.
