After searching for some time, I finally found the perfect grower for my organic heirloom tomatoes! This product came very well packaged, was assembled in minutes, and glided out onto the patio with the easy install wheels. The base container is a heavy duty plastic with an insert for soil that drops right into place. The growing cage is adjustable and quickly converted to a choice of 3 different levels, to manage your climbing tomato vines. A unique feature I found with this grower that I didn't see with other similar products, is the automatic watering system. This is such a convenience for those that travel and can't always attend to the watering schedule. And the water gauge gives a quick view to levels in the reservoir and when to refill. It is also an attractive way to plant and harvest your own tomatoes, (or veggies or climbing flowers!), as it looks nice on any patio and keeps the deer, bugs, and other invaders away from the sweet and tasty toms. But even better, you can also use it indoors, as it features a water level regulator plug to keep the reservoir from draining. When used outside, just remove the plug so that rain water doesn't accumulate.I'm looking forward to saving money and enjoying the delicious, healthy and organic tomatoes soon to come with this convenient, quality grower. This is a must have for any vegetable that grows vines. It was easy to put together. The quality is great that the sturdy frame is so perfect. I can’t wait to update this review. Once my tomatoes, get bigger. The ease of not having to worry about the watering. When I’m away from the house was one of the top things I was looking for my tomato plan is growing. And it’s because I’m not worried about human error, because I add the water and the plant gets the water with no problem. All I do is open the top up. Check the water level. If it’s slow, I refill it. I’m actually thinking about getting a second one.

This planter is pretty nice but the wheels are useless. Even on a flat smooth surface they fail to turn the correct direction and skid along sideways. The self watering feature works well so I don't need to worry about watering daily. The trellis feature is also sturdy and looks nice. Probably not the best value for the money all things considered.

The planter is perfect and I can’t wait to plant tomatoes in it. I like that it has little wheels on the bottom. Looking forward to planting season.

These planters are okay. I grew 2 cherry tomato plants in these last year (I have 2 planters, put 1 in each) and they grew fine and produced a decent amount of tomatoes, but the tomatoes tasted terrible. I discovered that the drainage was not working properly on either planter (I have this issue with their herb garden planter as well) and the reservoirs were filled with very smelly water that had probably been sitting in there for god knows how long. We got a lot of rain and they were on my patio and basically filled with rain water that didn't drain out like it should have (I had the little drainage tubes set at the 30 degree mark).The trellis was fine, didn't have too much trouble getting it together and it supported my large cherry tomato plants just fine, though the plants did exceed the height of the tower (my mistake for planting an indeterminate variety in these).The water gauge on both planters I own fell apart very easily and was kind of annoying. Just from me dropping it into its intended slot it fell apart and I had to put it back together.I don't think these are quite big enough for tomato plants (apart from dwarf/small varieties maybe). I think they are a better size for pepper plants, which I might try growing in them this year if I can figure out and solve the drainage issue. I like the trellis so I might do a pepper plant in one and try a pole bean in the other.The wheels are a complete joke if you are using these planters outside. On a very smooth surface I am sure they are fine but on my patio they were difficult to roll. But if you're using this inside I am sure they will be fine.Overall, this product is okay. It looks really nice but I was not really happy with the results I got from it, at least not with tomatoes. Will try again this year and see if I can get it to work any better. I don't think they are worth $100 though, maybe more like $60.Also a final note. Vego Garden has a rewards program that incentivizes people to leave product reviews. In general I like Vego's products (this one being the exception) but it's hard to know what reviews to trust when you know that people are doing them for the rewards system instead of based on the product's own merit. Just my two cents, for what it's worth.

A great option to expand your growing space. I do wish I could buy extra tiers of the trellis separately

A very excellent design! I love it! I can tell this was a good investment. Ands it appears to be super durable. Small wheels for rolling on wood or tile. You'll need a wood furniture dolly to move it on carpet or outside.

I put my lemon tree in this. It self waters so all I have to do is glance at it to know if it needs water. My lemon tree is very happy in this planter.
