It seems no matter what product you find that indicates it is genuine leather, they must be using a very loose definition of leather. The belt looked good when new and the front side of the belt still looks okay, but after occasional wear, it is simply coming apart. What you can see in the photos is the proud embossing of "genuine leather," belt separating a the holes, and what is actually inside the belt. I am guessing they consider the fact that there is a very thin layer of leather (paper thin on the back side) over some sort of other material, allows them to call it genuine. A belt with two layers of real leather sewn together would never have done this.

The darker or midnight navy color was just what I wanted and was looking forward to receiving. Unfortunately, when I began to try the belt for size, I discovered that the buckle was placed in reverse position. In other words, it was flipped over. The buckle wasn't removable (it was stitched in place), so it was useless. I had never seen a belt for sale that had an "upside-down" buckle. I immediately contacted Amazon and received a return label to initiate the process of having the purchase removed from my charge. Online purchase disasters such as this makes me long for the days of going to and finding what you want INSIDE a department store.

The media could not be loaded.  This is a premium quality belt. The subtle navy color fits in well with dress or casual. I put this on with my denims the second I got it.I usually don't care about packaging, but the packing of this item is very simple, but looks fantastic. This would make a fantastic gift item. I always enjoy the initial scent of a fine leather item, and this hits you pretty hard when opening the box.The belt has a moderately shiny finish, with a slight matte resulting from the leather grain. The backing and edges are completely finished, shiny black. The buckle is just the right size, and features a simple design. The leather loop is just the right size, it allows the tongue to move freely, but prevents it from falling out.

I could not find a decent leather belt for my husband in any store! I found this one online at Amazon and it sounded exactly like what I wanted for him. So I ordered it and it is as described. A beautiful soft, but strong genuine leather belt! He loves it! I am happy! A good buy from a good seller! And it arrived quickly too! And in a nice gift box! Perfect for wrapping for Christmas!

This belt is beautiful & quality! I wanted a true navy belt but that's been hard to find. They all look more black than navy. This one is perfect & real leather.My hubby is a 36 waists I ordered a 38 belt & it just barely fits though. I could have got a 40 & it would have been perfect. But it's still a great belt.

2 months after receiving this belt, during which it was worn daily, the buckle fell off. Very poor workmanship, it just apparently came unstitched. Clearly defective, but the return window is closed. Would not recommend purchasing this product.

What a really GREAT looking belt! The leather is really soft and has a nice leather smell when you open the extra nice gift box that it ships in. The navy color and quality far exceeded my expectations! I've since purchased this belt in tan and in black.

So...I was at a birthday party last night. After using the restroom, I was tightening the belt when everything that wasn't leather fell apart. EVERYTHING. The buckle ended up falling in the toilet. You get what you pay for.
