CHI-CHI'S Sweet Corn Cake Mix, 7.4 Ounce (Pack of 12)

Firmer than pudding but not a cake consistency. This is so easy to make and absolutely DELICIOUS!!!!! Unavailable at my grocery store for years. Why did it take me so long to think Amazon!! So happy I did. I ordered a whole box and will be splitting the quantity with my kids.

Great stuff. I cannot find it locally, so am thrilled to buy it here.

The package says "corn cake" but this isn't cake. It's more like pudding. I noticed that some of the 1-star reviews said that they were expecting cake, but it says on the packaging to serve with an ice-cream scoop. It has a picture on the front of the package with the pudding in scoops. This pudding is very popular in Mexican restaurants here in California. When I make it, I serve it with tacos, rice and beans. My family loves it. I bought the 12-pack and make it about twice a month.

Try is mixture few day after receiving bit. I am so happy. The favor. Ease of making it. Value of price well worth it. Texture is definitely delightful... Smell so good. And fact you can add other stuff to it. Just makes it so easy...

I absolutely love this Chi-Chi's sweet corn cake mix!! It's incredibly delicious. Buying this brought back a lot of good childhood memories. I remember when Mexican restaurants would serve the sweet corn cake mix as a side along with beans and/or rice and the main entree. Sadly I don't really see that done anymore! So I decided to buy this sweet corn cake mix as a side dish for a taco bar themed birthday party I was throwing. It was so yummy and the guests loved it. Thankfully I had a couple packets of the mix left-over so I was able to use it for myself later on. :) Buying this sweet corn cake mix in a 12-pack is definitely the way to go. Currently, on Amazon, a single packet of this mix is selling for $1.23 - but only on Prime Pantry. A 3-pack is available on regular Prime, but is a whopping $14.22!! Not a good deal. However, this 12-pack is currently $19.01 (which 85 cents cheaper than when I bought it!), and it's the regular Amazon Prime. So buying in bulk is the way to go. This is a great product. You won't be disappointed!

As a child, I always LOVED the scoop of corn cake with every dinner plate at Chi Chi's restaurant. They went bankrupt (I think) many years ago, and I can't lie, I deeply missed that lightly sweet, gooey, moist corn cake! Found the mix at the grocery store...about a year ago...and have never seen it again:( No idea why my local grocer suddenly stopped carrying this, but SO glad I can get my fix off amazon!! Did I briefly question myself by ordering corn cake mix in bulk? A little. That quickly passed as soon as I cooked it up and ate it! Got my bf and other friends hooked on it too:)
