I couldn’t be happier with the Ruffwear Front Range Dog Harness—this has been a total win for both me and my dog. The fit is absolutely perfect (I got the X-Small), and it’s clear this harness was designed with comfort in mind. My dog usually fusses with new gear, but she didn’t mind this at all—in fact, she seemed comfortable right away. No rubbing, no irritation, just a secure and lightweight feel that doesn’t restrict her movement. The padding is soft but durable, and the adjustable straps made it super easy to get the right fit. I also love the dual leash clips—especially the front clip for training and better control during walks. It’s made a noticeable difference. The reflective trim is a great bonus for early morning or evening walks, adding an extra layer of safety. And the Basalt Gray color looks clean and stylish. Overall, this harness checks every box: comfort, quality, functionality, and style. If you’re looking for a reliable everyday harness your dog will actually enjoy wearing, this is it. I bought these for my two male Shiba Inu, they both weigh around 22 lbs so I bought the Small in the Blue Pool color, and the color is gorgeous!. This harness is excellent quality and fits them perfectly. There are a few negatives of this harness I want to mention though. They fit really tightly over the head and so my shiba's will duck and weave when I try to put it on them. They tolerate this harness but they don't love this harness. Another negative is that these harnesses are not easy to adjust at all. Like all harnesses you have to make sure you adjust them so they fit not too tight and not to loose. The other negative is that Ruff Wear doesn't carry them in many colors. Ruff Wear also has the WebMaster harness which is escape proof because it has two belly straps, but they really don't have any pretty colors. I have also introduced my Shiba's to the Julius K9 IDC harness and WOW! What a game changer! Now they sit patiently smiling and let me slip this harness on. It is so fast and easy I am just shocked and happy how easy it is to put on and off. And it looks super cute on them too! I also tried the Joy Ride Harness on them and they hated it. It is not comfortable at all. The straps are scratchy and the belly buckle is huge and rubs them directly on the back of their front legs! Joy Ride harnesses come in a lot more pretty colors but the quality of their product is awful! I returned the Joy Ride Harnesses. I really wish Julius K9 harnesses came in as many colors as the Joy Ride does. That said, I highly recommend the Julius K9 harness if you have a Shiba Inu. Another great harness that my male Shiba love is the Comfort Flex Harness. They sit patiently smiling when I put the Comfort Flex Harness on too! I also have a female Shiba Inu and she is a classic escape artist and I keep her in the Ruff Wear Front Range.

Thick yet lightweight. A comfortable fit on my dog who I have a hard time finding harnesses that fit for due to his shape. He has refused to walk at all in some harnesses but hasn’t had issues with this one. A top feature is that below the clips, there is fabric to prevent me from accidentally clipping his fur. It is good quality and holds up fine in a front loading washing machine on delicate and cold. I do not put it in the dryer because I’m not sure if it would shrink. It’s remained durable through pulling and is easy to put on once it is set to the right size, which is also easy to adjust.

I tried five different harnesses for my two year old Pekingese. Ruffwear $59.99 XS. True to size. Extremely well made and durable. Side straps are thin allowing for ease of movement. Front and back sections that hold the straps are a little too big for his little body. I would need to remove it to pet him. Price is also very high. This is my second to last place pick. Best Pet Supplies Voyager $14.99 L. True to size. Similar design to Ruffwear. Much cheaper materials but very well made. I feel like the fabric is not super durable. It is breathable but the straps and front/back sections are very thick. Restricts movement and I would need to remove it to pet him. This is my last place pick. ShawnCo $29.99 XS. Very well made. Great materials and durability. Runs a little small. The XS claims the belly girth is 13-18 but runs closer to a max of 17. This straps allow ease of movement. I like the three rings as well as a handle on the back. The back section is a little bigger than I would like. If I ordered a size larger this would be my second place pick. Plutus Pet $17.99 S. Very well made. Great materials and durability. True to size. This harness has the same design as Lukovee. The straps are a little thicker than the Lukovee and it seems to be made with more durable material. However, I want the lightest weight and smallest size straps I can find for his frame. Therefore this is my third place pick. Lukovee $15.18 S, also comes with a matching leash. Very well made. Great materials and durability. True to size. This harness has the same design as Plutus Pet. The straps are a little thinner than the Plutus Pet. Allows for full range of movement, is lightweight, thin straps so he can receive pets while ease. Amazing price. This is my first place pick.

J’ai acheté ce harnais Ruffwear Avant pour mon Shiba, connu pour être un petit expert de la fuite 😅. ✅ Points positifs : le harnais tient très bien, il est vraiment anti-fuite, sans être étouffant ni gênant. Le tissu est respirant et léger, ce qui le rend confortable même lors des longues promenades. Les sangles sont faciles à ajuster et le design est à la fois sobre et élégant. 🧠 Mon avis global : c’est un excellent harnais pour les chiens vifs ou craintifs. Mon Shiba s’y est très vite habitué et je me sens rassurée lors des balades.

I brought this June 2023 in small for my Frenchie. So nearly 2 years ago, been washed in machine at least 4 times, washes well.Easy drys. Fits really well on my dog, plenty of room if needed for adjustments, which are easy to do. Never any signs had it this harness on after walks, like marks on soft parts of legs. Great fit for Frenchies. I have it in red, no real signs of fading or fraying, really well made, worth money Harness. Used at least twice a day for walking and in car rides. I use it with another great product for the car, Mighty Paw Dog Headrest Car Seat Belt £18, that goes around headrest strong,easy to use heavy duty clips onto the harness. With the Amazon Basics Dog Car Seat, Pet Car Booster Bucket, Large £60, my dog loves the car seat, car see all and stays put in it. All these 3 products together i would recommend, easy, strong and safe.

C’est le deuxième que j’achète parce que j’en suis satisfaite. Il ne restait malheureusement qu’une seule couleur en XS. Le premier s’est déchiré en dessous sur les bords en 2 ans. J’ai considéré que c’était normal même si l’usure a été un peu rapide car nous faisons beaucoup de promenades. J’ai racheté le même malgré un prix assez élevé par rapport à d’autres marques car j’ai l’impression que mon chien tire moins qu’autrefois (quand il avait un harnais d’une autre marque). C’est un petit chien qui a l’habitude de beaucoup tirer et avec ce harnais, c’est moins pire. Je pense que ce harnais est meilleur pour sa santé et pourra lui éviter des douleurs articulaires ou aux épaules. Il me semble bien équilibrer le poids du chien et les forces de traction. C’est pourquoi j’ai jugé cet investissement utile. Mon chien est un chihuahua commun de 5,5 kgs avec de la carrure et un petit cou. Le harnais lui convient bien. Il est très facile à enfiler. Par contre il est difficile à ajuster les premières fois. Nous n’avons pas fini les ajustements. La notice nous invite à faire les ajustements directement sur le chien mais ce n’est pas si simple. Il me faut un certain temps pour y arriver et que mon chien soit parfaitement confortable avec les deux sangles mises pile à la bonne taille de chaque côté, et d’une longueur parfaitement identiques, ce n’est pas évident. Par contre une fois que c’est fait, ça dure dans le temps.
