High Speed Gear Polymer Single Mini Pistol Taco Mag Pouch

YARD SALE!!!
First foot chase and scuffle and my mags were all over the parking lot like I was having a yard sale. These mag holders are good for competition shooting or walking around the mall but they are not good for practical duty use. The mags will go flying the first hands on fiasco and you will be having to call a k9 to do an article search. Fortunately for me it was a short chase (I'm fast) and we never left the parking lot, so it was easy to find my mags. Save yourself the headache if your getting these for duty use. If you are a weekend shooter they will work and they keep your mags in place at a brisk jog and maybe a couple bunny hops. I wouldn't trust them jumping a fence or in a life or death situation. I will be trying to get some full size mag holders that may be more able to hold onto loaded mags in the real world.

A dependable, sturdy product
High speed gear makes some great gear for the military and law enforcement folks, but they are also great for those who just like to hit the range frim time to time and want quality products. The drawback to their products is the price point. It will make you think for a moment before you purchase, "do I really want to spend that much for just going to the range?" Sure there are some other options out there, and a few are just as good or better, but many are not. You can purchase a cheaper pouch but you'll end up replacing it often or find that it doesn't fit your needs or worse that you'll need to buy a different model for each type of magazine you own. With High Speed Gear you can purchase the one type, be it a single, double etc.., and know that it can be adjusted to suit the needs of the shooter. It is also made quite sturdy and will stand up to a good amount of punishment. You may spend $40 or more for a magazine pouch but it will probably be the last one you buy for many years

don’t buy this.. buy the newer version.. you’ll thank me
I mean it works.. took me a little to figure out the extra screw for a smaller belt (if you wanna make the loop smaller you have to unscrew all the screws and adjust the strap). The tightness wasn’t as tight as I’d want it on the actual pouch portion. I’m using it for a multi tool. I probably would’ve spent the extra $3 for the newer version and wish I did.Update: screw fell out and I almost lost my multi tool (three times the cost of this). Even with it the elastic pulled as tight as it gets the pouch feel apart and my multi tool slipped out in the dark in Seattle. DONT BUY THIS. This is not normal USGI quality.. it’s crap. I have numerous USGI products that are amazing. This is subpar for USGI.

Excellent Retention
I've run this pouch on my IOTV as a "flex pouch" for whatever oddly-shaped items I needed to store on it, to include M9 and M17 magazines, a Fenix PD32 flashlight, and a Gerber M600 Blunt Nose multitool. It's been through multiple weeks gunnery and FTXs, an NTC rotation, and a deployment without any significant issues. Excellent retention of everything I stuck in there with very little movement of the pouch.I ran reloads out of it for a military pistol competition and it functioned flawlessly for M9 magazines.HSGI's Tacos have always been a staple on my kit, and the Polymer Taco is a great advancement!

There ok, good enough but not as good as the nylon ones
There ok I guess. They are cheaper then the older models but frankly I don't think they are a higher quality. HSGI says on their website that they are made with better materials but I personally do not think so. I bought a few from various places (including here) and tested this stuff before it goes onto my duty gear. After a few times at the range it is already showing wearing. I am going to keep these on my battle belt and just use them for practice, ect. For the record they work well and I do not have any issues. They hold onto the mags but not too tight that hinders my reloads. If you are looking for a cheaper taco mag option that is not breaking the bank then get a few of these, just know they may not last as long ymmv.

Can not use
I purchased this product for my husband. It looked as pictured. It looked great on his vest and was very well made. He is a K-9 officer. They do alot of tracking. He stated this product would bounce around alot while tracking. He lost a full loaded magazine and was very disappointed. Just not for someone having to run, track, or cross rough trails daily.

Great product - overpriced IMO
First off, HSGI has a very good product that is high quality. I knocked off a star due to cost. I believe the cost should be lower (plastic and shock cord). I have pouches from HSGI competitors, and I like those just as much as these - however, price is lower.

WORTH IT.
These are freaking awesome. Great retention on 1911, CZ75, and Glock mags.I would say "I would happily buy more" but I think as good as these are, I dont think I will ever need to.
