Great product. I will use them as both airsoft/safety/shooting glasses as just a normal sunglasses.Although I haven't tried them with both an army helmet and ear protection while shooting but the thin temples look functional, I will be sure of that as soon as I have the chance. For me they let a lot of less light in from the top of the nose bridge and no light gets in from the sides and bottom. I am very happy so far. I might buy the desert colour too, after all a good quality product so cheap, so why not? And I have been using ESS ICE and Crossbow, Wiley X (the British army issue ones, can't remember the model now) and Under Armour Igniter 2.0. All of them are ballistic rated, but the Edge Hamel (and the Under Armour Igniter 2.0) are just more adequate when just off the field and/or firing range. As a "civilian" use sunglasses both the Edge Hamel and the Under Armour are great, more discrete than the ESS and the Wiley X referred.
