Great Active Speakers For A Small Bedroom
I use these way outside the intended use as ultra near field monitors, putting them on either side of my TV while connected to a sub in my small bedroom for both watching movies/shows and airplaying music, and I typically listen 1.5-2 meters away on my bed or desk, raised to ear level using stands. The measurements and impressions of this little speaker are impressive for the price, and seemed to fit the bill for me as small, inexpensive speakers with an accurate/flat response and low distortion. I was worried about performance since I'm using them a little farther than the intended .8m, and also being too dry/boring since they are studio monitors, but I'm very happy with the sound; it's balanced, clear, and very revealing with accurate imaging and a strong phantom center, even when I'm not perfectly on axis like lying on the bed. It gets plenty loud for a small-medium sized bedroom, especially if you add a sub, and you'll have no problem feeling immersed in both music and shows being very clear and detailed, but in a pleasantly natural and non-fatiguing way. The DIP switches are especially helpful in shaping the sound further and I found it really easy to find a balanced and pleasing sound for my placement just using familiar media to fine tune them. My only negative might be the interconnect cable being of an unusual connector type and fairly short at 5 feet, making it hard to conceal the cable if you use it a little farther part than the recommended .8m, but there is an 8ft accessory cable you can buy direct from Kali, or if you have cable skills, make your own. Overall, I'm very happy with these speakers and don't feel I'll be buying anything else for a long time.

for my ears these are amazing
my previous computer speakers were the original Kanto era and a sub 8. I loved this, and with the subwoofer the speakers shined above 100 Hz. this was a perfect setup for my desk. THEN, I went and bought the KEF LS50WII and the KC92 for the living room. this sounds fantastic, and having the ability to adjust the high and lowpass filter to the subwoofer made fine tuning the subwoofer very simple. this new set up began to detach me from the Kanto built in crossover at 100hz. I began to appreciate music with a cross over closer to 50 hz. Even though my sub placement is excellent, and I cannot localize the sub, I enjoyed hearing the frequencies from the main speakers, at lower listening levels. so I tried the Klipsch Egg Duo. these were excellent, but lacked in the low range, and became distorted with bass, and mid range heavy tracks, having a hollow sound. (prior to the KEF in the living room I tried Kanto TUK and Klipsch RPM 50 with a speed woofer, and SB3000Pro. all were not fit for my taste) Then I tried the Kali audio UNF. The bass is incredible coming out of these little giants, no subwoofer needed. I actually looked under my desk thinking the sub was somehow still magically here in the room. the sound is incredible near field (.8 meters away) and also through out the home they sound lovely too. I am actually enjoying them more than the LS50 for music listening at moderate to low volumes. I love listening to women's vocals. Rihanna, Amya Rodriguez, Julia Pratt, Amy Margret, Mens higher range vocals like SYML, Noah Kahan, John Legend, and Ash Radford. all sound excellent with these speakers. they sound so plain. I think im hearing a flat response. there is simply music. it's something im not used to, and I really am enjoying these speakers. ALOT. for the price these are worth every Penny. I love how there is not a Sub out, so they are a dedicated music only pair of speakers. Im forced to take them as they are, and not try to make them better by adding something else. FWIW. I am using a MAC studio, the Aux out to RCA. according to Apple this is a High Res signal. its analogue. I made the switch a few years ago, and now I hate bluetooth. I cannot comment on the DAC abilities. I am very happy with my purchase, and I am very happy I chose these over the Kanto ORA 4. I love my Kanto ORAs, and they will have a place in a secondary room. but for my desk that gets 4-8 hours of music per day, these speakers are magic.

Best monitor setup I've had so far
I bought these as a replacement for my JBL 305P which didn't provided any magic. The Kali speakers on the other hand bring the joy back to music listening. They provide a suprsing amount of bass and the detail makes you want to keep listening without being fatiguing. I connected to my PC using a Scarlett Solo because 1) This is the only way to hook up a sub and 2) I like having a dial volume control. I would recommend using this setup over the USB connection and capacitive volume control. I can't use the built in features (USB and bluetooth) but it was a small sacrifice becauseI love the size of these speakers for PC monitors. If you have a different setup with more space I can imagine the LP-6/8 would be incredible. The only negative mark is the speaker connection cable which as many have said is just too short if you want to run under or behind your desk. The good news is that the longer cable is only $10.
