It is very effective, it certainly protects your doors, walls, even your chairs from being shredded!! 😹

This product was not purchased for pet protection, but to be used in high traffic areas of my car to protect it. The product turned out to be just wide enough to be manageable, as i think it might have been a bit more difficult if the product was wider (for my purpose), due to its sticky nature. If it's was using this for pets then that wouldn't be an issue, however the film is more than thick enough to help with bumps and light scratches, i don't think it would stand up to persistent cat scratches. Good product overall and worth the money. 4/5 would buy again

Used this on the corners of my corduroy sofa to stop my cats scratching at it. Has stuck well and stopped cats damaging sofa.

Doesn't stick. Every angle every attempt used the hole roll and its flaking off a very small area. Half was unusable

Worked well to start with but the cats got through the plastic to the door so has not worked for longer than 2 days unfortunately

It’s a good thickness, and you can do two layers if you feel you need extra protection. Almost invisible once it’s on the door esp if you can roll it on smoothly to avoid bubbles. Two recommendations: It is very sticky so test a piece on your paintwork. If your paintwork is old, not sound or the door was not prepared properly before it was repainted, I think this is likely to pull the paint off. If you have repainted the doors, give them a good week or two for the paint to properly harden & bond before you apply the film. In my experience paint is still setting for a few days after the final coat regardless of the drying times quoted by manufacturers. I used it on two brand new, factory-varnished oak veneer doors. I did a 5 day test on a door offcut & the film peeled off just fine. I could see a slight hint of varnish colour on some areas of the film but nothing that was noticeable on the doors. Start from the hinge side, wrap across the door and then continue round the edge and across the other face of the door in one continuous piece. This will mean there are no edges for your pet’s claws to catch at the edge of the door. This will make it much harder for them to pull off the film. Unroll the film as you go (it has no backing on it) and smooth it/ push out bubbles as you go. It’s like a fiddly version of hanging wallpaper sideways & the most important tip is to only unroll a little at a time as you apply it.

Perfect for door protection and base boards to protect from pets, specially if they need to pee on potty training time. It stays well glued on the door . Washable with sponge.

I got this product through Vine. My son has two dogs and his doors were getting damaged by the dogs. I gave him this plastic protector three months ago, during the middle of the winter, and he and his wife are very happy that they stopped the damage to the doors. The plastic is very clear and has not been damaged by the dogs' nails after a few months of use. He told me that he will be happy to refinish several of the doors and not having to replace them, and reapply the protector. He says that his doors would have required replacement if I had had not given him this protector. I though of it when I saw this product and the scratched on his doors. One of the dogs is a big 8 month old, getting bigger every day, bullmastiff, and the other one a small pug. So he has used it in the larger vertical surfaces of the doors and this protector film has stopped the damage. He will still work to refinish the doors in the summer, and he will either re-use the protector if it holds or buy some extra. In one of the doors he had to reapply it and it held but it was soon afer installation. In summary, if you have a dog and wooden doors throught out your home, you may want to seriously consider this product.

The protector sticks well and does a great job of protecting against cat scratches. However, you can’t just apply it where your cats have been scratching and expect them to stop. I initially put it on two corners of the couch where our cats were scratching, but they quickly moved to a different corner or started scratching below the protector.

I ordered this scratch film to protect my new fabric chair that my cat suddenly took a liking to. He was starting to scratch his claws on the back. I applied the film and so far it seems to stick well to the material. His claws haven't been able to penetrate the product so far, and in fact seems to act as a deterrent as he doesn't seem to like the feeling on his paws. Yay! Finally, something that works! I'll be applying this to the backs of my new leather dining chairs as well. Great product, highly recommend!

We ordered this for our wooden window sills. Our dogs stand on them, watching and barking at leaves, squirrels, nothing, etc while their nails indent the wood. After filling in the gouged areas, then repainting, we applied strips of this plastic film. So far, it has stayed in place. I have no doubt that once removed, the paint will peel off, however, we won't be removing it while we live here. Effective for protecting wood from getting gouged.
