Organizes your Apache 2800 case perfectly for the range.
You think, it’s just foam, right? How long could it take to install in the Apache 2800?Longer than you think! This kit wholly replaces the foam that’s in the Apache hard case, replacing it with a hard foam, pre-cut system for organizing your equipment at the gun range. What particularly great about this is the removable extra magazine foam on the right side; if you have a huge number of mags, keep the foam in place. The core foam area will already hold nine magazines for three pistols. The added area to the right will hold a bunch more (so many I didn’t count!).However, remove those and you now have accessory wells, which I used for m quick loaders and ammunition packs for the range. The wells in total are probably big enough, if entirely removed, to also hold a pair of earmuffs and protective goggles as well. The organization is completely up to you— but save the foam you removed because you can easily add it back in later should you want to carry those extra magazines— removing the foam on the right isn’t destructive, so it’s a bit like puzzle pieces you’ve just put in temporary storage.Since the foam lower portion is all glued together, it’s a tight squeeze to get the mag wells clear; have a pair of needle nose pliers handy to pull that part free. The foam there is cut in two places so if you have a thin single-stack magazine, you only need to remove one half of it for a nice tight fit.By having your equipment stacked upright, you can also easily keep them open and run a mag lock in it for visibility if transporting by air. Or on the range, you can have your empty chamber flags visible when you open the case to make your friendly RSO relax a bit.Is it expensive? I think so, a bit. But the foam has been designed well, is modular and likely will be a one-time purchase. So if you want an organized case, this is an excellent option overall.

great insert
Fits the Apache case amazingly. Nice sturdy foam is used and holds my gear snug. Comes pre-cut but not pre-removed, some of the magazine slots are a little trouble to get removed without trying to damage other foam. Do appreciate that the magazine slots are 2 stages so you can take out a little for .22 magazine that are thin, or both pieces to snug fit double stack mags as well. Happy with the purchase. for the price of this and getting a case on sale... cheaper than some of the premade cases on here

Good Clean Organizer
Really good. Sturdy foam. Can adjust for height of mags by removing more foam. Deep enough to fit 17rd G17 mags with +5 extended baseplates, though a bit snug to close. Would definitely recommend.

Works well
Works great looks good. A little hard to separate the deeper foam for the magazine inserts. I think for my larger handguns I should I of bought the next size up box. But overall excellent

Sensible Option
You will want needle nose pliers or forceps to pluck some of the pieces out. It comes with a top piece of egg crate foam for the lid, and then three pieces of closed cell foam glued together, the upper two pre-cut. Most of the guns I’ll take to the range will fit. My second series Woodsman is long, but by trimming a bit of foam then inverting the pistol it barely fit. If you only use it for two or three guns, you can remove a whole section on the right and have space for ammo or ear muffs. I used a sharp knife to remove or trim a few partitions. I’m not carrying a dozen mags but I do want space for a box or two of ammo. Overall, this is a sensible option if you already have a HF Apache 3800 case. Lacking cases, it might make sense to just buy from Condition One.

Nice, solid foam upgrade for inexpensive HF case/reasonable cost
Fit well and less expensive than many alternatives. MUCH more solid than foam sold in the case. Seems to be holding up well. Very useful for range trips.

Excellent alternative to ConditionOne or Pelican.
I’ve cut a lot of foam but this was too easy. Fits perfectly in the Apache case and very customizable depending on which plugs you pull. I compared side by side with pelican and very happy with this set up. Even better if you keep an eye out for HF coupons.
