This is the best flattening bit I’ve used. It’s very sharp and sturdy.

Very happy with my initial results using this bit to level a live edge table on a router sled. Diameter seems like a good balance between volume of wood removal vs stress on my router. No noticeable change in sharpness after leveling coffee table sized piece of pear wood (very dense and had wood). 1/4 inch swipes seemed about right for clean smooth leveling.

Very good router bit

I don't write a lot of reviews but hands down the best router bit for flattening boards that I've ever used. No comparison. The others left loads of dust and seemed like it was treating up the wood. Ive also had bits slip on me ruining quite a bit of wood. For the price, buy this. I looked at some others on several best lists and this was half the price and worked soooo much better than the other bits I've tried. Hands down the best bit ive used on my router.

I use to rough out, initial passes, and it works well. Some of my slabs are not consistent thickness and this bit cuts quickly. This pin oak is hard . Bit lasts. Very little chatter.

This thing is wonderful for surfacing. The carbide tips cut fabulously and aggressively. lol, just don’t let it accidentally hit a hidden nail in your project or you will have to order another one like I did! Ha. ;) oops. Great product for the price, hence ordering a second one.
