1/4 teaspoon of Diamond Crystal Kosher salt has 280mg of sodium (12% of recommended daily value). Table salt, for comparison has 581mg of sodium in 1/4 teaspoon, which is about twice as much as Diamond Crystal. If you are following a recipe, the standard is to state salt amounts for table salt, so if you are using Diamond Crystal, double the amount of salt. Hope that helps!

It is not really that coarse. Morton kosher salt is a bit coarser. You can find diamond table salt on Amazon, though you might have to buy multiple cartons.

Q: Can you use this salt to rim margarita glasses?

It is a bit fine, but it will work. Run a piece of lime around the edge and it will adhere.
