Q: How soon will I see improvement in my scar?

Time can vary both by individual and by type of scar. We recommend applying a minimum of twice a day for at least 8 to 12 weeks. Positive results are usually seen within after 3 months of use.

Q: Does NewGel+ work on old scars?

Yes, clinical studies have shown that silicone gel is effective in improving older red/raised scars. Newgel+ by MyNewGel will soften, flatten, and fade your scar. The sooner you use Newgel+ after the scar has formed, the better the results.

Yes, silicone gel sheeting and silicone ointment have been proven to reduce, flatten, fade and smooth these difficult types of scars. However, older scars typically require a longer treatment period - up to 6 months or more.
